Priya: What inspired him to create the piece?
Vante: His daughter often dreams of being out at night, looking up at the sky & feeling surrounded by the stars. He made her dream come to life with this painting, & several others.
Priya: Wow 👏 I'm impressed! So you really do like art
Vante: I do 🙂 & Beau is one of my favorite artists.
Priya: Fun fact about that painting?

Priya: The daughter is me. Beau is my father

He would ask me every morning when I woke up what I dreamt about. After seeing the pattern of my dreams, he created Dream Glow & just kept going from there😁
Vante: I really love your father's work. His pieces are incredible.

Vante: The Moon's Shadows. One of my favorites.
Priya: Is it? What about it makes it your favorite?
Vante: Well, it's kind of my own interpretation of it. And what it means to me. I don't want to bore you 🥺
Priya: I've never met anyone, around my age that is, that loves art as much as I do. And you like my father's work no less. I'll hear whatever you have to say 😊

I see myself as the moon. This huge being that is up there orbiting the earth. Being at the top is lonely, & no one told the moon that. Yet, there are trillions of stars around to watch the moons every orbit, every transition.
Some will argue that because of the stars, the moon isn't alone. But it is. It's there, so close to earth & yet so far. Surrounded by all those stars, the shadows being casted are endless, & each shadow is viewed differently from each star.
It's hard for the moon to casts its own shadow when it has the man shadows the stars help to produce. It's kind of how I see my life right now.
Priya: Wow, Vante. That was so incredible to hear. I've never heard so much passion spoken like that before. My father would love to see this.

Priya: Hahaha, very true! So here is the back story on this one.
There are clouds that can hover over a being, thing away its shine. The stars do shine, but not enough to penetrate even the smallest cloud. However, the moon can. It's powerful enough to assist the stars in helping to light up the night sky in ways the stars only dream of.
Basically, the moon is there as the lead, to help light any way it can, & to push through anything trying to cover its path.
It isn't as fancy as yours, but that's what it means lol
Vante: And that's the cool thing about art. You can interpret it in any way you feel fit. Your reasoning is great. It looks at the moon as the leader of the pack, shining through for others to go thru. I like it.
