Track was the same as usual; I got done before everyone else did and this time I didn't dare take a shower. This time I grabbed my clothes and went to the restroom, as I changed I looked at the new forming scars on my body. While I was in fifth period I got a text saying, "Skip lately?" I managed a laugh then replied, "Who..is..this?" As I looked around to see if anyone would start texting I was given false hope because of course everyone was texting. My search was cut short as my phone vibrated again and I opened the text. "A friend....I helped you out but you probably wouldn't remember; you were too busy ripping down posters."

My mind flashed back to the gorgeous green eyed guy that had helped me get the most highest, embarrassing picture of me down from the wall. I felt my cheeks burn red as another text flashed across my screen and it said, "Meet me at the track after fifth period." I didn't know if I should respond or ignore it; after all it could be a prank that some asshole thought would be hilarious; oh yeah fuck with the suicidal girls' feelings.

So lost in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed the bell ringing until another text message sent my phone into a vibrating frenzy. I looked down and opened the text; it read, "Hurry!" I laughed at how impatient the person was and hurried towards the track. What were you doing Zoe? This could be one of Brittany's embarrassing pranks. I started to walk back when 'HE' walked into me. As I stumbled back I saw those gorgeous green eyes and smooth full lips, he was stunning! He wore black skinny legs, a red 'Family Guy' shirt, and black converse. "Hey Zoe.", he said as I eyed him up and down. I grinned slightly then replied, "Hey, umm...this might sound crazy but did you text me and tell me to meet you here?"

He bashfully looked down as he nodded his head slowly. "Zoe, I like you....alot." My heart jumped and my head jerked up and I wondered if my ears were full of wax. "What did you say?" I said as I looked at him in confusion. His smiled shined as he repeated himself then quickly said, "I have for two years now, you just haven't noticed." Was this dude serious, was I supposed to believe this bull? "Did Brittany put you up to this?" He looked at me bewildered then said, "Why you would you...." He trailed off then realized why I had mentioned Brittany. "You think they put me up to this, Zoe I don't even affiliate with girls like that." He shocked me as his arms embraced my body towards him into a hug.

I stood there for awhile, shocked on what to do, but irresistibly my arms found their way embracing him back. He pulled away, smirked, then said, "Plus, I wouldn't give those girls' the time of day to help torment someone else." I blushed and said, "You wanna walk around the track, I umm....sorta wanna get to know you better." He nodded his head in agreement as he looked me in the eyes. Those eyes that melted my soul and made my heart forget to live, those were the eyes of 'HIM.'

I quickly felt embarrassed as I left my thoughts, looked toward him, then said, "I'm sorry, I don't know your name yet." He chuckled a bit then answered, "Cody, my name's Cody Fox." After that everything was a breeze, we talked for what felt like hours and it was just so easy to talk to him. He was a boy version of me except I barely knew how to skateboard and my parents weren't exactly amazing. When we found our back to the start of the track we decided on going home and talking to each other later.

I didn't wanna leave, not at all, I wanted to stay with Cody and feel my ears up with his voice. I knew too well that my dad would kill me soon if I didn't come home yet so I hugged Cody and rushed off home with life story running through my mind. I had learned everything about him; starting with his first kiss to his last girlfriend. I just listened because honestly I had nothing to tell him about my life; it wasn't interesting, it was a pathetic lifetime story.

I blocked my sappy life story out of my mind by popping in my headphones and pressing shuffle. I jammed to the song as 'Inside of you-The Maine' blasted through my headphones. I enjoyed the starry night as I walked home then I quickly forgot about him strictly telling me to come straight home. "Shit!" I mumbled as I broke off into a sprint towards my house.......
