Kayla's P.O.V

I wake up and look around. Hayes was laying on the floor, sleeping. I sit up and smile. Daniel. The thought of him or even his name just made me so happy. I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom.

I close the door and squeal. I was acting like such a girl right now. It was different. I put my back against the door and slide down. I bite my bottom lip, smiling like an idiot.

"Kayla!" I hear mom call and I quickly open the door. "Sh!" I say with a slight smile. "Hayes is sleeping!" I tell her. She looks away from my room and toward the bathroom. "I made you guys breakfast." She says. "You did?" I say, faking a smile.

"No I got it from Denny's but no one needs to know that." She tells me as Emma walks out her room. "Morning." She says. "Morning. I thought you left last night." I say. "I fell asleep and missed my flight so Nash is gonna drive over here and we're gonna drive back together."

"He'll be here in like 6 years." I say and we all laugh. "Yo! Some people are still sleeping!" Hayes says and we all look at him. I run up to him as does mom and Emma. "The poor baby!" We all say and all of us laugh. "Just like old times." Hayes says.

"Speaking of old times-" Mom stops.

'Ding dong'

"Right on cue." She says and we all run downstairs. Hayes's mom was there with Skylyn and his dad and so was dad. "Daddy!" I say and hug him. "Hey pumpkin. I have great news." Dad says hugging me back.

"Tell me!" I say. "I'm gonna be getting off of work at 2 now. Right when you get home." He says. At that moment I wanted to cry.

Mom stays home on the weekends. Dad comes home earlier. Emma is gonna be here for a while. And the Grier and Gomez Family is back together. Everything just seems... perfect.

I then feel my cheek get wet and everyone looks at me. "What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked. "Everything is just, perfect. I'm so happy!" I say with a smile. Dad, mom, and Emma hug me.

"Surp-" I look up at Nash. "I'm all surprised out." I tell him. "I'm not. Nashy!" Emma squeals and jumps into his arms.

"What's going on here?" Nash asked. "Family breakfast Sunday's are back baby!" Mom says and we all yell. We then go to th kitchen and start to eat.

"And then my dad told me he comes home earlier and I started to cry. Happy tears of course. Everything just seems to be working out, you know?" I say. "Yeah." Daniel says. "I'm happy for you, Kay. And what's up with you and Hayes's families?" He asked.

"Well, that's a long story." I say. He looks up at the sky. "Still day light. I got time." He tells me and I laugh.

"Okay. Me and Hayes known each other basically our whole lives. Every Sunday his family would come over and we would have Family day. All of us were like one big family.

Then mom and dad wanted me and Emma to have whatever we wanted so they started working so much harder. That meant spending more time at work. The Grier's watched us after school. That's when Family day became Family breakfast Sunday's. Which was still kinda fun."

"But wasn't as fun." Daniel says.

"Yeah. Then we moved when I turned 10. It was far from where I used to live. When I moved I stopped talking. I didn't talk for almost 2 years. Then we moved 35 minutes away from where I used to live. I talked but barely. Then after 3 weeks of that house I finally saw Hayes. He knocked some sense into me and I started talking again. After another 2 years mom finally thought that it would be a good idea to move closer to the Grier's so I wouldn't be so alone. But I wasn't alone. I had Jessica and Hayes and that's all I needed. That's when 4 weeks ago we moved to the house I am now. Right next door to Jessica. Its like life is just working out better for me. Ever since I met you I-" I stop.

I look at Daniel and he smiles. "Ever since you met me, what?" He asked. I look down and feel my self blush. "Ever since I met you, everything has worked out perfectly. It's just so perfect!" I finish. Daniel puts his arm around me. "I must be a great good luck charm."

"You sure are."

We are all at Jessica's house in her room. We've been playing truth or dare for the past hour and it's gone from serious to funny. "Alright Daniel, Truth or dare?" I ask. "Truth. I don't like your dares." He says.

"What a baby!" I say and me and Jessica throw some popcorn at him. We all then laugh. "Okay, uhm, what do you like in a girl?" I ask. Honestly, I was asking for myself. I notice Jessica and Hayes look at Daniel. What was that about?

Daniel's P.O.V

Jessica and Hayes look at me and I give them a fake smile. I already knew what they were saying. Don't do it Daniel, You could ruin your friendship with her. So I decided to lie.

"I like girls that take a lot of time on themselves in the morning so they make sure they look good. And girls that are kinda girly. Not like super girly but they have that girly girl come out them." I lie. "Oh, okay." Kayla says looking down. I the see her smile a little.

"I'm gonna go home. I'll see you guys later." Kayla says walking off. "What's up with her?" Hayes asked. "Emma probably texted her or something." Jessica tells us. "Yeah, I'm sure that's it." I say looking back at the door Kayla walked out of.

I wonder what's really wrong.
