Kayla's P.O.V

"I gotta go!" I say walking out the door. "Kayla!" I hear Hayes call. After a couple of minutes Hayes Come running up to me. "Hey, it's gonna be okay!" He says stopping me. "No Hayes! This time is different." I say crying. "Come here." Hayes says and hugs me.

"I- I want Jessica. A- and Daniel." I manage to say. "Okay. We can go to Daniel's House and tell Jessica to come over." Hayes tells me still hugging me tight.

"I love you." I say. "I love you too. Now come on." He says before pulling away and we walk off to Daniel's house. I ring the door bell as a few more tears fall from my eyes. Daniel soonly then opens the door. I had my head down so he couldn't see me.

"Hey guys. Its kinda late shouldn't you be getting ready for the family getaway?" Daniel asked. "Kayla isn't feeling too well." Hayes says. Daniel looks at me but I keep my head down. "Hey, you okay?" He asked. I shake my head.

Daniel steps out the house and closes the door behind him. We then sit on the swing bench on his porch. "I'm gonna go get Jessica." Hayes says as I lay my head on Daniel's shoulder. "Okay." Daniel replies.

Hayes then walks off. "What's going on?" Daniel asked. "My family is falling apart." I answer. I pick up my head and look at him. "But everything was just going great." He says.

"I knew my parents were fighting but I didn't think it was this bad. I didn't think anyone would just pack and leave." I say starting to cry again. "Who left?" He asked.

"My dad. He packed up is stuff and left. Mom said he told her that he wanted to be with a family that he can actually see everyday. When it's his fault. He wanted to have everything. He's the one that convinced her to work so many hours. He should be mad at himself for all this bullshit happening." I start yelling.

"Calm down." Daniel says. "No, I don't want to calm down. I just want to scream and yell and cry! Just let everything out. I'm not gonna hold it in this time just to have no one in the end."

Daniel hugs me and I put my face into his chest. Someone then opens his front door. "What happened?" I hear his mom ask. I then pull away and walk off. "Go." I hear his mom say. I then hear footsteps and he runs in front of me causing me to stop.

"Leave me alone. I just want to die." I say. Daniel grabs both of my hands and looks into my eyes. "It's gonna be okay. Your dad was never around anyway. You know who was? Your mom, Mr. Trumer, Hayes, Emma, Nash, Elizabeth, Jessica." Daniel says.

Daniel pulls me close to him. "Me." He whispers. I wrap my arms around his neck and start to cry as I hug him tight.

Daniel's P.O.V

I hate seeing her like this. When she cries everything inside of me breaks down. I then see Hayes with Jessica. They both run up to us. "I lost so much already." She says. "Hey." Jessica says. Kayla pulls away and looks at Jessica.

"Wanna go to the A.F.H?" Jessica asked and Kayla nodded. Jessica and Kayla walked up ahead and I stay in the back with Hayes. "What's the A.F.H?" I ask. "It's our tree house. A.F.H stands for Away From Home." Hayes says.

"We were gonna tell about it when me and Kayla got back from the trip but I don't even think we are going in the trip." Hayes adds. We walk to the park and I look around. "The park?" I say. Kayla points into the woods behind it.

Though it looked creepy as soon as you walk in them it's this big open space. One tree just there and that tree had a wooden house on it. "Wow." I say. "This is nothing. Wait until you see our secret." Hayes says.

We all then climb up into the tree house. As soon as I went in there I couldn't believe my eyes.

This was their secret!!
