It's been a 1 month since Freddie died. I haven't seen Kayla today yet. I'm about to leave to her house though. I hope she'll be happy.

Kayla's P.O.V
I'm on the bench swing on the porch looking at him. Tears come streaming down my face. This picture was our last picture together. It was a selfie at the hospital. We were laughing cause he didn't know how to take the picture.
I miss him. How he used to call me during lunch sometimes just to make sure I was okay. Everything was getting better. Mom was starting to have weekends off and he would talk to me when he could.
Why did he have to go? Just why? I then see Daniel walk up the steps. He goes to knock but then looks at me. "Hey." I say wiping some tears away. "It's okay. Today's your birthday, be happy." He says. "I know. I am, just wish he was here for it."
"He is here. He's always here." He tells me and I nod. I walk up to him and hug him. "Happy Birthday gorgeous." He adds as we pull away. I smile before kissing his soft lips.
"Now go get ready for school." We walk inside and I run upstairs. What should I wear? I look through my clothes groan. I should wear a dress. I grab a Jersey dress and put it on. I then throw on my black converse.
I walk out my closet and grab my book bag. I then run downstairs and Daniel looks at me. "Hello!" He says with a smirk and I laugh. "You like?" I ask spinning around. We both smile as he walks up to me.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." He says grabbing my waist and pulling me close. I put my hands on his shoulders. "No, no, no." And there goes mom. She walks in between us causing us to pull apart. "Mom!"
"Dads not here so now I'm daddy number 2!" She says and I give her a look. "Happy Birthday sweetie." She adds kissing my forehead. "Thanks mom." I hug her and then she takes out a pan. "Are you cooking?" I ask.
"Oh heavens no. Elizabeth's pan broke so she needs borrow ours. I called in sick so I could be with you but you are dressed and ready for school so I'm gonna hang out with her." She explains. "I can still stay home you know."
"Nope. Bye Jamie!" Daniel says pulling me out the house.
