Alex Owen's POV

How the hell was I supposed to react? I assured Logan that I was fine after he kissed me and told me how liked me since we were 13. Maybe it was one of those high school crushes that never died. Maybe, just maybe.

I'm bloody confused. And now I feel terrible and alone. I sort of kicked Logan out shortly after he toldd me he liked me. He probably thinks I hate him which I don't. I just feel like it's a burden to carry that too. I didn't return my feelings for Logan and that hurts to say. Logan knows how I still love Jake and all so hopefully he understood. He probably will, Logan has a thick skull but a soft heart.

I got out of bed to change into some shorts and checkered top before grabbing my wallet and keys to my f150 ops. I haven't slept one bit and it's already 10 am. But I needed to get a replacement phone and plan.

So I drove to Galleria, taking a short trip to Starbucks picking up an ice latte with an extra shot. I paid the meter before finding myself in Verizon.

"Hi sir, how may we help you?" Some bald guy asked me. His name read "Chris".

"Uhm, here to get a plan, I broke my last phone." I explained and he nod his head.

"Alright, what phone do you want?" He assists me.

"An iPhone plus please, in space grey." I answered.

"Alright, alright. Do you have any idea what plan you had?" He asks.

"I believe it was 3GB for 65 bucks with the unlimited text & call but I bought the phone separately."

"Ohh ok. I can get you that plan and you'll have to pay an extra 35 a month to pay for your phone."

"Awesome."

"Can I get your name?"

"Alex Owen." He looked up at me from his little tablet.

"Didn't you die last year?" He questions.

"Oh that news. That wasn't true of course. Long story short, my parents faked my death as a death at car crash after kicking me out of their lives and apparently the world. Parents are doctors so it came out pretty legit." I explained and he just shrugged his shoulders.

I gave him the rest of my info and soon I was paying my bills and walking out with my new phone. I walked into some mobile shop and grabbed a simple black casing. When I got to my car, I started to ring my dad up.

A: Hey dad

D: Alex? What happened to your old number?

A: Oh uhm, I sorta broke my phone and I just got a new one today.

D: Ohh okay. I'm coming home tomorrow morning, can you pick me up from the airport?

A: Of course.

D: Sweet! Okay, I gotta go now. The food just arrived. See you!

A: Bye

I smiled. My dad and I getting closer. At least there was something positive in my life. I drove out the parking lot and start to head home where I'll be spending the day alone. No Kirstie to mess around with, no Logan I can joke with and no Jake I can cherish.
