You and your husband Sidney have been trying for a baby for quite some time now; 2 years to be exact.

Before you even got married, you would talk about having kids, and once you two tied the knot, you really wanted to start trying for a family.

Nothing seemed to be working and you were really starting to lose hope, although Sidney was trying to stay optimistic. You went to multiple doctors appointments to see if there was something wrong with you and if there was a reason you couldn't get pregnant, and every time you went, they told you there was nothing they or you could do.

You had already started considering adoption, even though having a baby is something you both really really wanted.

On a breezy November morning, Sidney was away at morning skate, preparing for the big home game against Philly tonight.

You had already called in sick to your boss because you really weren't feeling well, and a few people around your work had been catching the flu.

Your morning did not start out too great, you had already thrown up twice and you felt like someone just took the life out of you.

Since Sid was at practice, you decided to call your sister to talk to her. You told her all of your symptoms to see if she could recommend any cold medicine for you but all she told you was to go to CVS and get something called "Accu-Clear."

You threw on your coat and hunter boots, grabbed your keys and started the quick drive to the drugstore. After searching endlessly for your sister's recommended product, you had to stop and ask an employee. You told him the name of it, and you followed him down an aisle. When you realized what aisle you were in your heart stopped, and you could barely hear him when he said "Goodluck" and gently placed his hand on your shoulder.

The pregnancy aisle.

You grabbed the box and payed for it at the counter before rushing home.

When you got home, you jumped out of your car, slammed the door to your house, and ran up the daunting flight of stairs.

After waiting for what seems like hours, you reached for the little plastic stick in front of you and started to shake. This cannot be happening.

Before you had time to process and think, you were already on your way to the Penguins practice facility, one hand on the wheel, the other clutching your pregnancy test.

When you got to the rink, you ran past everyone in the lobby, you ran past the ice and straight into the hallway area where some of the guys were standing chatting and taping sticks.

"SIDNEY!" You screamed still running with the stick in your hand.

He couldn't even respond, for you were already in his arms, legs wrapped around his waist and arms wrapped tightly around his neck.

"I'm pregnant. We're having a baby, Sidney." You said as tears rushed down your cheeks and you showed him the two lines as proof.

Sidney stood there in awe as his eyes began to water and he held you closer and tighter to his body.

You jumped down from him and he practically yelled "I'm gonna be a dad. Oh my god this is really happening I can't believe it I just wow oh my god." he said frantically before crashing his lips onto yours in the most passionate kiss he's ever given you.

By now everyone was in the room, watching the touching scene unfold in front of them.

"I HAVE TO TELL MY MOM!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, while everyone chuckled slightly, still thrilled for the two of you. "I LOVE YOU SO FUCKIN MUCH JESUS CHRIST." He said to you before kissing you again and running into the locker room to call his mom.

Later that night, after the Penguins/Flyers game, and Sidneys hat trick, you two sat snuggled up with endless amounts of pillows and blankets, a laptop and a paper and pen.

"We need to figure out names. We need a lot of options for both a boy and a girl." You told him while writing two columns on your notepad, one for girl names, and one for boys.

"And we have to figure out the nursery situation." He said looking at you with admiration in his eyes.

"This is the most amazing thing in my life." He said looking at you with all seriousness, as he held your face in his big hands.

"What about becoming a hockey player." You questioned.

"Not even hockey can bring me this much happiness, Y/N."

"I love you, Sid."

"I love you Mrs. Crosby."
