Jason watched in shock as Hailey screamed and tumbled onto the concrete driveway, in her own pool of blood. Apparently, the bullet hit the side of her right thigh.

Jason knew this man was a criminal. Standing outside, shirtless, showing off his beer belly and hairy chest, with boxers on, was Hailey's dad. Carrying a black handgun.

When he noticed Jason, his expression turned into fear. Then anger. He pointed the gun to Jason, but Jason smirked.

He held out his phone which was already on 911. "Called the cops. At least we finished what we came for."

The old man turned milk pale, and sunk to the floor as a bunch of police cars parked there car around the house. When Jason knew he was totally safe as he saw Hailey's dad being handcuffed and put in the car, he rushed towards Hailey. She was unconcious. His blood ran cold.

"Hailey?" He shook her. "Hailey?" When she didn't respond, his heart beat grew faster. "HAILEY!!" He strred screaming. "HAILEY!!" The police officers must've called an ambulance because a few minutes later, a large ER truck came. Two men stepped out and put Hailey on a bed, putting her inside the car. Jason was shaking uncontrollably.

"Is she gonna be okay?" He asked. He didn't know what he would do without Hailey in his life.

One of the men looked at Jason with sympathy. "Since the bullet didn't hit any vital organs, I'd say....she'll live. But to what condition, I don't know."

Jason stared at the back of the ER truck as it backed up against the driveway and drove off.
