Chapter 44 ⚜ Founder's Day

In High school, In the IT room, I and Caroline sitting in front of computer, I say "Alright, show me"

"Let's reference last years Miss Mystic float " She types "Mystic Falls Founders' Day" into Bing on her computer "This is what they did last year" She turns her computer and shows a picture "And this is exactly what we don't want to do"

"Ew. Okay! So, what are we doing?"

"Southern classic elegance"

I say "Gone with the Wind?"

Caroline asks "How'd you know?"

I say "You channel Scarlett, daily"

Caroline "So true!"

We laugh. Bonnie came to us, Caroline is looking around "Where's Elena? She's supposed to be helping"

Bonnie says "I don't know"

"Okay, what's the deal?"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb. You and Elena are fighting. Spill!"

"It's nothing"

"It's not nothing. You know this whole float is supposed to be about friends creating something together and everyone is fighting. Matt and Tyler hate each other, you and Elena are on the outs and I don't like it! And I can't fix it if I don't know what's wrong"

"I can't talk about it, Caroline, I'm sorry"

Caroline looks at her and then turns to me.

In the town square, I hear John talking to someone telling him he would get revenge on supernatural creatures, I call Rebekah "I need your help, Rebekah"

I meet Scott in a narrow alley and tell him everything.

Scott asks "What do you mean?"

"Take all of them, Scott"

"Just tell me"

"I feel like a lot going to die, please do what I am saying" He nods "There is a girl who will meet you called Rebekah to take the key from her"

In High school, Caroline is taking pictures with Matt before the Founders' Day Parade in their Civil War costumes. Bonnie and I with them. I hold the camera "Say cheese!"

Caroline to Matt "Oh wait! Hide your cast, it's not era-appropriate!"

Matt says "Seriously?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, fine"

I take the picture "Smile"

Caroline says "I want one with Bonnie and Lydia now"

Tyler arrives taking the camera from me "Here, I can take it"

Matt looks at him "I'll be on the float"

Tyler looks at Caroline "I said I was sorry!"

Caroline says "You made out with his mother and then you beat him to a pulp. You're gonna have to do a little bit better than sorry" She looks at him and leaves.

I sigh "Tyler, you two are best friends, try again"

"I will"
