Chapter 55 ⚜ Greatest Weakness

In Salvatore's Boarding house, Elena, I, and Bonnie are with a lawyer. Elena is signing papers, Lawyer says "Please, sign here and here"

Elena takes the pen "Okay"

I smile "So this place is all yours?"

Bonnie says "They just gave it to you?"

Elena says "For now. As sole owner, I'm the only one who can invite a certain type of person in here, if you know what I mean"

"Your own personal safe house"

I say "That's the idea"

Bonnie says "Wouldn't want to clean it"

Elena laughs. Stefan and Damon are waiting outside. Elena opens the door "Thank you, Mr. Henry" Stefan and Damon can't enter "I'm sorry. I completely forgot" She looks at Stefan "Stefan, Would you like to come inside my house?"

Stefan enters the house "I would love to. Thank you"

Elena looks at Damon.

Damon asks "What are we, 12?"

I say "Don't make him enter"

Elena says "Maybe. One of us is. If I let you in, do you promise to obey the owner of this house?"

Damon says "No"

"Seriously, Damon. My way. You promised. I call the shots. No lies, no secret agendas. Remember?"

"Then please, come in"

Damon enters and looks at Stefan "Shut up" He vamps speed toward me, and pushes me gently to the wall "you see yourself funny"

I smile "Kind of"

Bonnie rejoins us and gives Elena her jacket.

Elena says "Thanks"

Stefan says "Wait, where are you going?"

"To school"

Stefan confused "Huh?"

Damon says "No, no, no. We didn't create a safe house for you to leave it"

"Yeah, guys, Klaus is out there. We know that"

"Right. But where? No one knows. Look, I really appreciate what you guys are doing. And I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that I'll be safe here, but I'm not going to be a prisoner" Elena looks at Damon.

Damon gives her a look "Your way, Elena"

Bonnie says "Don't worry, I'm ready. If he shows his face, I can take him. Know-how"

Elena says "The way I see it, next to Bonnie is the safest place that I can be. Come on" They leave.

Stefan looks at Damon and me "Wait, um, coming" He leaves with them.

Damon closes the door behind them "You and I alone"

I turn to the door "I think I will leave too" I follow them.
