When You Wake Up Married to Dan Howell

Chapter 16 - Goodbye

(Y/n)'s POV

I'm rushing through the airport, with Dan, Phil, and (f/n) following. It's 6:48 in the morning, and we're all still kind of dizzy, and sleepy. My ex husband, and his friend, have tickets to the UK, and the plane's leaving in an hour and a half. But. (f/n), and I are very late. We still have to get through all the security checks, and our plane's going in 42 minutes. We still have to say goodbye, and get through all the safety procedure ahh!

"It's all your fault, Dan, you said that your alarm is set!"

"Well it was, but someone, unplugged my phone, and it died!"

"Don't put blame on eachother, we're going to make it!"

"And what if we don't?"

"Just shut up and hurry up!"

When we, breathless and tired, arrive to the waiting room, through the security, the clock's showing 7:15. I slam myself into the plastic chair and sigh.

"Uh, that was very close," 

"We have only a little less than 15 minutes to say goodbye, though," States Phil, and his usual happy voice darkens. We all nod, and after around awkward 10 seconds of silence, (f/n) hugs Dan, and turs to Phil. I, of course, take the chance, and hug Phil before they could get intimate.

"(y/n), I'm very glad that you married my best friend," he says playfully, when he stops hugging me.

"Yeah, me too," I admit, and hug him again. 

"Have a pleasant flight!" I add, and when he smiles, I realize I have to face Dan now. Dan, who completely changed my life. Two times. First, when I was an awkward teenager, watching his videos, and now again, when (I'm still an awkward teenager, who am I kidding) I spent this dreamy month with him. Being around him made me feel tingly inside. I guess that's how it feels having a soulmate.

"(Y/n)," He calls my name, and catches my eye. I know he'll notice, but I don't care. I hungrily look at all his perfect imperfections, from his gorgeous face, to his long, sexy legs. He raises his eyebrows, and makes me blush.

"Sorry, I just wanted to remember you in a full picture," I smile, and he steps closer to me. We're only centimeters apart - briefly touching, but not quite. I can feel the warmth of his body against mine, when he pulls me closer. He presses his soft lips against mine, taking away my breath. I close my eyes, and enjoy the moment while it lasts. He's hugging me around my waist, playing with my hair while we kiss, which suddenly turns into an intense, passionate one. I pull my hand through his hair for the last time, and hug him back. We are aware of around 150 people watching us, but we are also aware of the time. And the time is running out. Our time together is now counted in minutes, in seconds. And I want those last seconds in Vegas, to be a memory of me, kissing a dorky british dude. 

"Passengers for the flight Vegas - (y/h), please get on your plane. I repeat-" A loud voice announces through the speakers. We pull away, and I tilt my head up, and try holding my tears.

"I guess I have to go now," I say, or maybe whisper. He hughs me very tight once again, kisses my forehead and whispers back.

"Until we meet again," I nod, grab (f/n) by her hand, and run behind the horde of people, trying to get on our plane. I turn around for the last time, to see Dan, and Phil waving, their gorgeous eyes shimmering slightly more than usually. I'm suddenly crying too, and when I turn to (f/n), her face is red and her makeup spilled. 

I guess I'm ready to fly home. 

Goodbye Phil.

Goodbye Dan.
