Disadvantage 17 – When the line between a normal and an 'awesome' person starts to blur, it creates panic and havoc. An 'awesome' person doesn't do things of normalcy and stupidity which everyone else seems to do. But do they really not ?

"So Marc came twenty minutes late ?" Rain asks aghast.

"Yep." Lize nods.

"And she still went along with him ?" Her voice slowly rises.

"She did."

"And he felt embarrassed ? Of her ?" Rain's hands were flying in the air now.

"Ahan."

"And after being the most boring date, he tried to kiss her ?"

"Totally."

"Why would Ala ever do that ?"

"Because she is fucked up in the head." Lize threw a very black look towards me.

"If you didn't notice, I'm still standing here." I try grabbing their attention.

"Okay he messed up but he tried to make up for it too." Geny says as she pushes a book inside her bag.

"Yes, by RED roses, Racheal. RED roses." Lize emphasizes.

"Ala hates red roses. He should be grateful she went with him." Rain interjects.

"He probably didn't know that Beck doesn't like red roses. It happens and it's okay." Geny answers tersely.

"She doesn't l-" Rain starts getting irritated.

"I'm standing right here. Can you guys not ?" I stop the potential verbal fight brewing. If I hadn't they both would personally rant to me and I would have never heard the end of it.

"Thank God." Lize mutters.

"Whatever." Geny turns around to go. "Lize the bell is about to ring will you please come."

"I don't have a choice, do I ?" Lize asks me in a low voice.

"You really want to mess with a pissed off Geny ?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. She quickly joins Genevieve and they both go for their classes.

I sigh audibly and turn towards Rain. "Whatever. As if I even care." She says as we walk down to one of the two classes we have together.

"You have a knack for copying me." I tug at the straps of my bag and smile at the known faces in the corridor. Rain smacks me hard at shoulders and grunts. "Violent." I mutter to myself. "So, bother to tell me why you just vanished away for two days ?"

"I thought you didn't care." Comes the reply from a still irritated Rain. Oh c'mon now, what happened back there wasn't even that huge a deal.

"I get that my awesomeness pisses you off but you can surely tell me why you weren't here." I smile a bit too brightly for her mood. Meh. She gives me one of her angry-pissed looks, over takes me and starts to go away at a faster pace.

"Racheal! I'm going to annoy you till you don't tell me." I catch up and stand in front of her. I look at her with a slightly pleading look, and there, there my charms work.

"Grandfather," she says. "He is really ill."

"Oh." I reply, toning down my manners. "What-what happened is he fine ?" I had a feeling something was wrong. Something bad. My gut feelings never betray me, do they ? Not even when I want them to.

"Bone-marrow cancer." She says harshly. I can see her blocking all the emotions, being placid. She thinks no one can ever look through it, how wrong.
