Disadvantage 14 - Your 'awesome' personality made you think you were over that guy but when he asks you out, tables turn.
"Rain, please say something! You are scaring me now. Just please." I wine as Rain and I walk out of our History class towards the cafeteria. Not attending classes is amazing but for this whole week, I can't miss a single one. Mondays do suck.
"Ala- " Rain starts with a really small and serious voice.
"You speak ? Thank god. I can never do without your constant babbles." I give her shoulder a slight push. Racheal and not talking is as weird is Beck and no sarcasm.
"Why, thank you there." She replies, giving me one of her kind smiles.
"Nah, was just kidding." I grin back.
"Ha ha." She says wryly and moves forward.
"Okay, back to the topic in hand. What do you think ?" I jog up to her. Greeting literally every face in the corridor, she just walks ahead without slowing down or replying.
"Racheaallll." I call out exasperatedly, coming to a halt suddenly.
"Seriously Ala, seriously ?" She turns around to face me. "Out of everyone, I am supposed to tell this to Geny ? The horror of it .." Every inch of her face occupied with dread.
I let out a small chuckle, putting both of my hands on waist. She can be so abrupt at times. I won't ever get used to the whole Genevieve-Racheal tussle. "Out of everything, telling Geny is the only thing you chose to comment on ?"
"You could have always asked Lize for this." She turns around and starts walking away. I catch up with her swinging ponytail again.
"You know Lize would react the same. Minus all the over the top 'how could you's' and 'give me your phone's'."
"You deserve it." She gives a terse response.
"And you need to shut up." I snap at her.
Oh no. Not shut up. God! Why is everything being so hair-pulling worthily irritating ? "No don't shut up Rach. Say something! Say something, I'm giving up on you. I'll be the one if you want me to.." I break into the famous song.
"Don't sing." She cuts my singing off looking tortured. Yeah I don't really mind that look if it is caused by my singing. I actually sing well, my friends just don't value the personal mp3 player they have. "That was a highly stupid thing of you to do." She says.
"Singin-"
"I mean saying 'yes' to for the date, Ala." Oh. Oh the date. Yeah, yep the date.
"And the fact that you told us you will do nothing of sort and then immediately sent him a 'yes' ... I don't know, really. I don't trust him either, if you're asking my view point. I thought you were getting over him ?" She questions with her hands folded and pushed tightly towards her chest.
I look at the ground for a while, finding it very interesting you know. "Yeah I was kinda over him." I mumble.
"Of course you were over him. That is why you are going to a date...with him." She slows her pace as we reach nearer to the cafeteria.
"He is the first guy I ever had a crush on. Not to sound cliché but a date and food, doesn't seem bad to me." She gives me are-you-serious sort of look and I brace myself for not getting whacked.
