Disadvantage 9 - Self contradictory

Disadvantage 9 - No matter how uneasy it is, your 'awesome' and don't care attitude should always be up. Even if it contradicts your emotions. You can't let them think you're weak.

Saturdays are a holiday for the whole school but I and Alan did go, to show our routine. So, we decided to take complete rest today that is Sunday. Racheal too was with us but afterwards went back home with Alan, while I went out for a lunch with Geny, Dean and Lize. That was the last I heard from Racheal.

"God, do you have anything ? Anything in your bathroom at all ?" Lize screamed from the bathroom. 'My' bathroom apparently.

"Um, there is this small cupboard near the basin. Mum stacked it up and I just pretend it doesn't exist." I yelled back.

"Bless your mom." Her voice was subdued by the gushing out of water. Washing herself before sleeping is so her thing. She can be just so prim and proper and then, another moment she'll have drool running down her face with hair looking like a bird's nest.

Mum literally loves having Lize home. It is so weird seeing them catching up with each other from when they last met, here was she, spending the weekend with me. Which is already over now.

I look back at my phone and remember I was deciding to call Racheal. 10 at night ain't the most appropriate time to call. But when did I do anything as much as appropriate anyway ? I scroll through my contacts, reaching her number and tap the 'green' button.

"Hey Ala, what's up ?" Greeted me a voice from the other end of a guy.

Guy ?

"Uh hi. Ramsey is that you ?" I ask unsure. I didn't know Ramsey was back  to Jacksonville from University.

"Racheal are you usually hanging with some 'Ramsey' at night ?"  I heard the guy yelling to Racheal. Wait, she's not with Ramsey ?

"Hey. One, Ramsey is her brother. Two, you are ?" I say a bit loudly, hoping that the guy would listen.

Wait a second. He does sound a bit familiar. Yep I am sure I've heard him before and he is not Ramsey.

"Mademoiselle, do you usually not recognize the voice of the guy you are crushing on." Came the reply.  Right, right. Alan won't ever get over himself.

 Am I the one saying that ?

 I am such a hypocrite then.

"I didn't realize- "

"I'm handing the phone to Racheal. Miss me, okay ?" He very much like always cut me off.

Miss him ? I snort. Yeah, he is the only thing I ever think about.

"Ala! Everything fine ? Sorry there, that was Alan." Racheal says in an apologetic tone.

"Yeah. I just called cause Lize is in bathroom ?" I reply. "Where are you with Alan ?" Not like she can't be. Of course, she can but I am not used to having a guy pick my calls.

"Lize is over ? Woah, that's a nice break for your sore knees." She says, finding the 'sore knee' reference funny.

"Are you trying to change the topic ?"

"Obviously not Ala. I called him because I had few ideas about the costume which he really liked. So he came over and took me for an ice-cream, while we further discussed the topic."

That's new. For Rach has a dedicated passion for ice-creams. But wait, her usual strict parents allowed her to go ? At this point of time ?

As if hearing my thoughts, she further explains. "Yep, even I was surprised that mum-dad allowed me to. It was nearly 9:45, but they did."
