Cadence P.O.V
"Penny. I've been kidnapped."
She bursts out into laughter, but when I don't say anything or join along, she stops.
"Wait. You're serious?"
"Serious as a fucking heart attack."
She sighs. "Let me guess, your boyfriend? He kidnapped you again?"
I sigh. "First of all, he's not my boyfriend! Second, yes he kidnapped me again. Third, get over here now!" I whisper.
All though the situation is serious, Penny starts laughing again. "Okay, where are you?"
"I'm-" I start, but am cut off by a bang on the door.
"Cade! What the hell are you doing in there?" Cameron says, while banging on the door.
"Just going pee!" I call, covering the speaker of my phone. "I'll be out in a minute."
I hear his footsteps leave, so I bring the phone back to my ear.
"I'm at Cams apartment. Hurry!" I say, ending the call. I hope she knows where it's at. She must know, because her and Cameron had a thing. Right? Oh god. I've been to caught up in my situation to pay attention to hers.
What a good friend.
I flush the toliet and run the sink, not bothering to even wash my hands. Opening the door, I find my way back to the boys.
Axel sits on a recliner, he arms tucked behind his head, and to be completely honest. He looks incredible.
Cameron and Tyler are on the couch, so I sit next to them, since it's the only place there is to sit.
Axel sits across from me, and when he releases that I'm in the room, he perks up.
"Okay, now that we are all back, I'll explain myself." He says, ruffling his hair.
Oh my god. Is he trying to impress me or something. Because every damn move he makes is so hot.
I lean against the couch, putting my hands under my chin. "Yes, Axel. Why don't you do that, because all of us would like to know what you've been doing for the last hour." I say, gesturing to us three. Even though I'm sure the boys know.
"Like I said, let me explain. I was with Lacey and-" I cut him off.
"Okay, you finish that delightful story. I'm just going to use to bathroom." I say, standing up and trying to slip out of the room.
"You were just in the bathroom!" Axel points out, exclaiming the obvious.
"Girl problems!" I hiss at him, trying to turn the corner, but he catches my wrist.
I didn't even see him get up from the recliner. "Let go of me." I state, not even bothering to yank my hand from his grip.
He sees the look on my face and hesitantly let's go. "Cadence. I need to explain. Please let me explain."
He towers over me, making me back up more. God his smell is so intoxicating.
No, Cadence! He's a manwhore. He's just using you while loving Lacey.
"Explain what? I think it's all pretty clear to me." I snap.
"That's the problem, Cadence! You think you know what's going on, but you don't! Lacey put something in that thick skull of yours and I don't know what. And I'm just trying to clear things up!" Axels voice starts out strong and firm but slowly gets weaker and weaker. "Will you just let me explain?"
"No." I say, holding my ground. Just because Lacey said it, doesn't mean that it's not true. Even in high school Axel was a manwhore why should I think he is different now?
I look over to see Tyler and Cameron chuckling. "You're going to hear it sooner or later. Because we aren't letting you leave." Tyler says, winking at me.
"What is this? Another kidnapping. This is just immature. Forcing me to listen to your damn sob story. I'll pass." I say, my voice getting louder by the minute. I can't seem to come up with a good reason that Axel would be forcing me to listen to him.
Axel sighs. "Cadence. Please." His voice seems to calm me down a notch. I can't quite get a grip on the whole situation, everything is just so stirred up. I know that I shouldn't believe Lacey, but something tells me that part of what she was saying is true.
I sigh. While taking a seat I pull my hair back into a pony. Don't need that in the way when I'm about to have a serious conversation.
"Okay, so like I was saying," Axel says slowly lowering himself onto the recliner once again. Keeping an eye on me. Like I'm going to run. "I was with Lacey-"
"Can we not call her that." I interrupt. As much as I hate the girl, I don't hate her name. And honestly it's just kinda throwing me off. Her name is so kind and sweet. But her personality just chews it up and spits it out. "How about just L." Everyone knows L stands for loser.
"Okay so for the past hour I was with L, and we had a discussion. She is leaving town." Axel says, causing the boys to hoot. But I just choke on my own spit and start coughing like a manic.
"Uhm, what?" I ask, my throat stinging from the coughing fit.
Axel cocks his head to the side with an adorable/confused look across his face. "What do you mean 'what'."
"I mean what did you give her in return."
Please don't be sex. Please don't be sex. Please don't be sex. Or a kiss for that matter. Or touching. Just, ew.
"Cameron! What the hell has gotten into you? God, all three of you are musqutio brained freaks." Penny says, bursting through the door with what looks like an airsoft gun. "Now give me the girl or I'm going to have to do some damage."
Unfortunately Penny showed up at the exact time that I might have gotten an answer. I sigh, standing up and walking toward her. Tyler quickly stands up, trying to follow me.
"Oh my god! What the hell is wrong with you, woman?" He screeches, holding onto his leg. I can already see a small red spit starting to form where Penny shot him.
"I'm warning you guys, stay back. She loves to shoot people." Cameron says from behind the couch. Obviously he doesn't want to get shot.
"Don't follow us, don't GPS us, don't think about us. Okay? Otherwise you're all going to have several red dots on your precious body of yours. Got that?" Penny says sternly, while her body is half out the door.
The boys nod, well two of them. One is just staring at me, with a blank look plastered across his face. For a minute I think he is going to say something, but he just opens his mouth.
All he says (Technically he doesn't say it he just mouths it to me.) Is please.
I take one last look at him before spinning on my heal and booking it for the door. Nope. Not doing that today.
