Kuroko no Basket one-shots ♡

First Impression (Riko x reader) Yuri!

Apparently first impressions are everything. I didn't believe in that until today.

"Relax will you? Geez, you're distracting me from training." Riko snapped you out of your thinkingonce again.

Ever since Riko talked to you about telling her father about your relationship with her, you were always staring into space thinking about how he would react,if he would approve or not and all that kind of stuff.

"Huh? O-Oh... Sorry about that." You smiled sheepishly at Riko with an apologetic look on your face. "Hey Riko... Your dad is nice, right?" You were a bit afraid to hear the answer that she would give you.

"He's more annoying than nice, but yea, I guess so." She paused to take a breath before continuing. "Listen, if this is stressing you out this much, we can always pick another day for you to meet him." She gave you an understanding look.

"No! I'm fine. I'm sure I can do this. Besides, I have to do it sooner or later, right? Hehe..." Her words calmed you down a bit, but not enough.

"Is that so? Then lets continue on training, shall we?... OI! BAKAGAMI! GET MOVING!" She gave a harsh glare at Kagami as soon as your conversation came to an end.

You looked down at your feet still feeling as stressed as ever. A couple hours to prepare... Hope it ends nicely.

Time skip~

You decided to ask some of the members of the team what Riko's dad is like. Its not like you didnt trust Riko's opinion of her father but then again, it is her father. You walked up to Hyuga and asked him what was on your mind.

"Hey Hyuga! I have a question for you!" He gave you a nod, allowing you to continue. Just before you asked him, you lowered your voice a bit so that Riko couldn't hear. "What's Riko's dad like?"

He immediately paled at your question. Just remembering him gave him the shivers. You looked at him confused. Was it something that I said?

"Uhh... W-Well he's uhh... Sorry (L/N)! I Gotta go!" He ran to the changing rooms after giving you an unclear answer.

"Is he really that scary?" You mumbled to yourself.

"Who's that scary?"

"WAH!" You fell down, startled by the sudden presence beside you. You look up to see the phantom man.

"K-Kuroko! You scared me!" He offered his hand and you accepted it. You rose to your feet and faced Kuroko.

"What were you mumbling about (L/N)-chan?" Kuroko asked you with the same blank stare as usual. He heard you? How embarrassing!

"U-Umm... Wondering if Riko's dad was really scary or not... Because Hyuga just suddenly took off." You gave a small laugh to hide your embarrassment.

"He's quite scary." He bluntly said.

"R-Really? Are you sure?"

"Yes. He pulled a gun out on us once." Just that sentence sent shivers down your spine.

"A g-g-g-g-gun?!" You almost passed out from the fact.  And I'm supposed to meet this man soon?!

You walked away from Kuroko, still shocked at what Kuroko had just told you.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" Riko walked over to you. You didn't respond at first which confused Riko. She waved her hand up and down in front of your face trying to get you out of your trance.

"Huh? Oh, yea! Lets go..." You and Riko headed towards her house after basketball practice. You were walking slightly behind her praying for your life.

Just before you reached her house, you pulled on Riko's arm to stop her.

"Please wait a minuet. I don't thin-"Just before you could finish, the door slammed open, revealing Riko's father.

"Riko! You're home! Come and give me a hug!" He lunged towards Riko, trying to pull her into a hug but before he coukld, he got punched in the face by Riko.

"You idiot! Stop that!" While Riko was beating the life out of her father, you were standing behind her watching the whole scene unfold.

While waiting awkwardly in the back, Riko eventually stopped beating up her father. Once he rose to his feet, he noticed you.

"Oh, you brought a friend over today? Nice to meet you." He walked up to you and held out his hand. You shook it politely but being completely stiff.

"N-Nice to meet you too, s-sir!?" You gave an awkward smile towards her father.

"Sir? Haha! No need for formalities. Just call me dad!" He gave you a grin.

You had confusion written all over you face. You really didn't think that he would be this nice. Was he really the man that pulled a gun out on the basketball team?

"A-Alright, I guess. U-Um, my name is (L/N) (F/N) s- d-dad." You introduced yourself and shook his extended hand.

You all went inside the house. You and Riko headed to her room while her dad stayed downstairs.

"So... How was he? Do you like him? Are you still nervous?" Riko questioned you once she closed the door, preventing her father from overhearing your guys conversation.

"Umm well, I thought he would be scarier. I'm quite relieved that he seems nice." You gave her a reassuring smile. She nodded at your answer and sat down beside you. You and Riko had decided to tell her father that you guys are dating after dinner.

Dinner passed by quickly and the food was ok. Only because Riko didn't cook. You were still a bit nervous to tell him the truth but he would have to know eventually.

"Hey dad, before you go back to doing whatever the hell you do, me and (F/N) have to tell you something." Riko looked quite serious and so did her father when he heard what Riko had just said.

Riko gave you a look telling you to tell him about your relationship with his daughter. You gulped before saying the rest.

"Umm well, sir... I am dating your daughter!" You said in one breath. It felt like time stopped. Your heart was beating so fast as well. He looked unfazed for a moment, but a hint of surprise was shown on his face.

"Really? Well that's nice. It seems I can trust you. I'm sure of it." He gave you a warm smile showing that he accepted you as his daughters girlfriend.

"S-So you approve of our relationship?" You looked hopeful at her father. He gave you a nod.

"By the way, I though I told you to call me dad?" You gave him an awkward smile and a small laugh.

You and Riko headed back to her room.

"It wasn't as hard as I thought it was. Hehe." You sat down on the ground and breathed out a deep breath, calming down your heart.

"Is that so? I expected it to be like this. Sorta." She sat down beside you and kissed your cheek. "Besides, I'm sure you made a good first impression on him."

You flashed her a grin before pulling her into a giant hug. You were so glad this was over. You got accepted and your able to stay with Riko. A happy ending.

School starts in 3 days ;-; I'm still gonna be posting weekly though. But if I don't, its cause I'm busy with homework, I guess ^-^
