At the time, you were 6 years old and currently, you were sobbing in the middle of the park. Your best-friend, Mitobe, heard your cries and came running to you.
He crouched down to you and looked at you with a concerned look on his face. He pat your head to sooth you as you were hiccuping and wiping away your tears. In a teary voice, you told him about your problem.
"*hiccup* I-I lost m-my n-necklace... and I-I ca-n't find i-it." You cried as you tried with all your might to explain without stuttering too much. He listened to you intently, and as you were done talking, he got up to search for the lost necklace.
You and him walked around the whole park trying to look for the necklace but luck just wasn't on your side today. You and him gave up and sat down on a bench. You started to sob again, scared to tell your parents that you lost the necklace that they gave you.
Mitobe suddenly got off the bench and started walking off to somewhere. You were saddened that he was suddenly leaving but didn't bother to stop him as you were afraid that you were going to annoy him even more. And so, you sobbed on the bench, by yourself.
As you were crying, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You stopped crying for a moment and looked up to find Mitobe standing in front of you holding two ice cream cones. He handed you the (F/Flavour) ice cream cone and you gladly accepted it. Your frown was quickly replaced with a smile as you licked your ice cream. He sat beside you and began to nibble on his as well.
By the end of the day, you went home and told your parents about the necklace. They told you that they could just buy you another one and you felt as if a heavy weight was lifted off your shoulders.
10 Year time skip-
You were sitting on the swings, crying quietly. You had just found out that your boyfriend was cheating on you, thus resulting in you sobbing in the park.
You pulled out your cellphone and dialed a number that you had relied on for years. The person on the other side of the call had picked up. There wasn't a voice or anything but you knew he was there, listening.
"H-Hello? Mitobe, can you c-come to the p-park near my house p-please?" You spoke quietly in the phone. It was quiet, but you could hear him swinging doors open and dashing out of his house, still on the call.
Soon enough, Mitobe came around the corner and spotted you on the swings. He strides towards you and sits on the swing next to you, waiting for you to tell him whats wrong.
"Heh, thanks for coming. I knew you would come." You gave him a smile despite the fact that you had tear stains and red puffy eyes. There were still a bit of tears leaking out from your eyes, but you quickly wiped them away.
He gave you a smile, showing you that he understands and gestures for you to tell him what the problem is.
"Y-You know (G-G/N) right? Well... h-he ended up... c-cheating on me." Your voice got softer as your sentence progressed. You looked up at him to see his reaction and it was a completely different side of him. He looked angry. Really angry.
You were surprised to see that kind of look on his face but quickly hid your shock. You looked down at your feet and started to slowly swing yourself.
Mitobe got off the swing and started to walk off. You had thoughts of him going to confront your 'boy-friend', but you knew he wouldn't do that. Would he?
You waited, in hope that he would return soon. As you waited, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You looked up and saw Mitobe with ice cream cones in his hand. The sight in front of you reminded you of something but you couldn't quite figure it out.
You took the ice cream from him. It was your favorite too. As you licked the sweet treat, you suddenly remembered why the sight of Mitobe hold the ice cream cones seemed so familiar.
You reminisced about the past, smiling at how Mitobe didn't change all that much.
"Seems familiar, doesn't it (F/N)-chan."
