1 year ago:

"EHH?! You're not going to Touou?" Momoi started whining as soon as you told her the news.

"Yea...sorry about that. I know we promised that but there's nothing I can do. My parents want me to attend Seirin instead."

She looked as if she was about to cry. She started wailing and clinging onto your arm as you tried to calm her down.

"S-Satuski... please stop crying, you're attracting people's attention. And besides, Aomine will be with you." You pet her head, trying to sooth her.

"But you're way better than Aomine!"

You quickly looked around to see if Aomine was around or not. Coast is clear.

"Satsuki, you shouldn't say that out loud. What if he was in the classroom." You quietly scolded her.

"But its true... you were my only hope." She sighed in disappointment. You gave her an awkward laugh and tried to reassure her that she'll find new friends.

"We'll still stay in touch. And you'll make new friends as well." She gave you a look of disbelief. You and her both know it won't be that easy for her. When she first met you, it apparently took all her courage to talk to you.

Graduation soon came, and you all parted separate ways.

Present time:

You were making your way towards the gym after the crowd in front of the school had died down. As you neared the doors of the gymnasium, you heard the squeaking of shoes and the bouncing of the basketballs.

You creaked the doors open and the first person you saw was a girl with short brown hair. You walked in and walked along the walls, trying not to gather to much attention towards your way. You reached the girl. You lightly tapped her shoulder and she turned her head in surprise.

"Hi! Umm, do you know where the coach might be?" You asked politely. She gave you a small smile before answering your question.

"Actually, I'm the coach." As soon as the words left her mouth, shock took over your face.

"Really? That's so cool! I didn't think the coach was a girl! That impressive." You gave her a small grin and praised her without thinking.

Riko blushed, hearing your response. "T-Thank you. Ahem! Anyways, did you need to see me for something?"

"Huh? Oh yea! I came here to become manager for the team. Is it possible for me?" You asked with hope filled eyes.

"Manager? Of course you can. The position is open." She gave you a natural smile in which you returned back.

"Really? That's such a relief! Thank you so much!" Without realizing what you were doing, you hugged her. Shock was written all over Riko's face. You pulled back and gave her a grin.

"Thank you for the position! I really appreciate it!" You stated, pulling Riko back into reality. "Huh? Ah, yea. Welcome to the team." She said with a faint blush dusting her cheek.

Weeks passed by and you and Riko gradually got closer. You didn't realize it but Riko had grown feelings for you.

It was the usual routine as always. Go to school, go to basketball practice and go home. It was supposed to be the same but someone unexpected suddenly showed up.

It was the middle of basketball practice when you heard the doors open and a high pitch voice scream.

"TETSU-KUN!" The voice sounded really familiar. You turned your head towards the source of the voice. A familiar pink blinded your vision.
