"I promise to take care of you. I will try to change, just for you."
You were currently running to the hospital from school after getting a call. Haizaki was recently involved in an accident and was currently unconscious.
You reached the building and dashed inside, running for the reception desk. You told them that you were here to see Haizaki and they told you the room number.
As you ran down the halls, you finally made it to the room that Haizaki was in. You stood outside the door, catching your breath and preparing for the worst. You slowly opened the door and peeked inside.
A look of relief made its way onto your face as you saw Haizaki sitting up in bed, listening to the doctor. You walked in and immediately gave him a hug. As you hugged him, you felt him stiffen up.
"Who are you?" He said as he placed a hand around your waist. You pulled back a bit, confused by what he meant. As you looked at his face, he was wearing a smirk. A smirk you knew all to well.
"Excuse me, miss?" The doctor started as you pulled back from Haizaki, bewildered by his behavior. "As you might have figured out, his memories aren't exactly the same since the accident."
The doctors words had struck you hard, leaving you speechless. He has amnesia?
You stood there, staring at the doctor in disbelief until you felt Haizaki's arm wrap itself around your hips.
"So, what's a pretty girl like you doing? Are you here just to visit me? How sweet." The tone of his voice was the same as before when he was still a playboy. Without thinking, you slapped his hand away and stepped back, disgusted by his attitude.
"Don't touch me!" You looked at Haizaki with horror filling your eyes. He stared at you with a bored expression which soon turned into an annoyed one.
"Tch whatever. Get out of here you ugly bitch." He shooed you off with his hands and turned away. Tears were about to spill as you were shocked. You ran out of the room, wiping your tears.
You went straight home and locked yourself into your room and cried for the rest of the night.
A few weeks later-
You were eating lunch with your friends as usual. You looked down the window to see Haizaki making out with another random girl. He still hasn't regained his memory and he was back to being the usual playboy.
Your heart ached every time you saw him with a different girl, but you would never be able to gather the courage to confront him about it.
You just hoped that he would soon gain his memory again and remember you. As you were staring at Haizaki, he suddenly pushed the girl away.
He was looking around rapidly, as if he was in a hurry. Did the girl do something that offended him? You question as you watched him run.
As he was out of your sight, your phone suddenly rang. You picked it up but before you could say anything, the person on the other end spoke up first.
"(F/N)! Where are you?!" You recognized the voice. It was Haizaki.
"E-Eh? Why a-are you c-calling..." You stuttered, suddenly full of hope. Had he gained his memory back?
"Just meet me in the back of the school now!"
Without thinking, you got up from your seat and started heading towards your destination. Your heart was pounding as you were nearing the truth.
As you ran out the doors and turned the corner, you saw Haizaki standing there with a worried look on his face. He heard your footsteps and turned his head into your direction. His eyes widened before he ran up to you and hugged you.
"I'm so sorry..." He said as he squeezed you tighter. You felt so happy right now. You wrapped your arms around his back, not wanting to let him go.
"This time I promise, I will not let you go."
