Toby's pov
We're going to take the kids to the zoo today. Melissa was working today and couldn't watch Nick. She would've sent him to day care but she only trusts that place because Spencer would be watching him. But since Spencer wouldn't be working, we've decided to take Nick with us too.
I've been teaching Zoe and Griffin animal noises while Spencer takes her online college courses. She doesn't know about this so she'll be so excited when they can say all the animal noises.
Its around 9 so I go into Zoe and Griffins room to wake them up
"Wake up, we're going to the zoo today!" I say to the kids
"Yay!" They cheer
"Where mommy?" Griffin asks
"Mommy went to go get your cousin Nick" I say
"Nicky!" They cheer again
"Let's go get something to eat" I pick them up and bring then downstairs to eat
They look so cute in their pajamas sitting in their highchairs. Griffin is wearing green striped footy pajamas and Zoe is wearing purple striped footy pajamas. I take a picture of them while their eating and send it to Spencer.
After we ate I brought them back upstairs and got them changed. I put Griffin in khaki shorts and a red t-shirt with monster trucks on it. I put Zoe in some white leggings and a yellow t-shirt that says 'daddy's girl' and there is flowers on it. After they're both changed I bring them downstairs then Spencer walks in with Nick.
"Mommy!!!! Nicky!!!" They both say and run up to her
"Hey guys!" Spencer says
She sets Nick down and Zoe and Griffin give him a hug. Spencer picks up Zoe and gives her a kiss then sets her down then picks up Griffin and gives him a kiss then sets him down.
"I have their bags, lunch, and snacks packed and ready so should we get get going?" I ask Spencer
"Yep, Nick's stuff is in car" Spencer says so I grab everything we need and we get into the car and drive to the zoo. We arrive at around 10:15. We have a double stroller, so one of us will always have to be carrying either Zoe, Griffin, or Nick unless either Zoe or Griffin want to walk. Right now Zoe and Nick are in the stroller so I'm carrying Griffin. We put all the bags in the back of the stroller.
"What do you want to see first?" I ask
"Lions!" Griffin says because that's his favorite animal
"Ok let's go see the lions" I say
Spencer pushes the stroller and we walk towards where the tigers are. When we get there Zoe and Griffin both run up the the glass and stare at the lions.
"Okay guys, what do the lions say?" I ask
"I don't think they know..." Spencer starts
"RAWR!!!!" They both yell
"How did they know that?" Spencer says, shocked yet happy
"I've been teaching them animal noises" I say
"Really?! That's amazing thank you" She says and kisses me
Are the tigers we go see the tigers then birds then butterflies. After all that it's around noon so we decide to eat. We sit down and eat lunch at a picnic table. After were all done eating we go see monkeys, bears, penguins, fish, then seals. After we see all of the animals that they want to all 3 of them are really tired so we head home and they fall asleep right away
"The kids had so much fun today" Spencer says
"I had so much fun today" I say then kiss her
"I can't wait till litte baby Cavanaugh #3 comes" I say and rub her stomach
"Me too I love you so much" She says then kisses me
