Sometimes It's Just Too Hard

This is a one shot written by me.

The idea just popped into my head and I was like "why not write it?"

So here we are.

Summary: Liam and Niall have been dating for 2 years now, ever since the tmh tour. But now Liam has a beard named Sophia, and she just makes everything so much harder.

The first time it becomes a problem is on their tmh tour a few months after Niall and Liam started dating.

They were in Los Angeles playing four sold out nights at the staples center. These shows were special to all the boys, but extremely special to Niall and Liam because LA is where they told each other about their feelings. It means a lot to them.

It was currently night 3, meaning that they only had one more show left before the tour was over. Everything has been fine these past few nights until she showed up.

Niall knew that management had talked about getting Liam a beard to cover up their relationship since he broke up with Danielle, but Niall didn't think it would be so soon. They've only been dating for about six months, tops, and they've already brought a beard in.

Niall was furious when he saw that Sophia was in the crowd of their show. Tonight, him and Liam were supposed to go out and enjoy themselves, celebrate. But now Niall knew that with her here, none of that would happen.

Niall wondered if Liam knew she was here or not. If he did, he definitely didn't mention anything to Niall about it. This just made Niall even more mad.

He's been standing on stage, staring at Sophia for the past three minutes with a glare on his face.

"Alright!" Niall heard Louis yell. "This is I Would!"

Niall heard the music start coming through his ear piece so he shook his head and looked away from Sophia.

While singing the song, Niall tried to make his point by staring at Liam while singing the chorus and subtly changing the 'he' to 'she'.

Liam didn't seem to pay any mind until Niall started to sing his solo, his stare directly on Liam.

"Back in my head we were kissing

I thought things were going alright

With a sign on my back saying "kick me"

Reality ruined my life"

Niall all but spat that last line in Liam's direction. Liam just raised an eyebrow but Niall just looked away and started singing with Louis.

When it came around to their cover of Teenage Dirtbag, Niall was a little bit nervous. During Liam's solo, him and Niall do their little dance that they always do. Niall didn't know if Liam was going to do it, or if he wasn't going to do it.
