Dry your smoke-stung eyes
So you can see the light
You're staring at the sky
Watching stars collide

Michael slid of his jacket throwing it on the unmade bed before following after the warm coat, collapsing with a mighty sigh. "Thank fuck its Friday" the red head breathed out, his eyes dropping in the process. He lay there for a solid five minutes, relaxing his body and collecting all his thoughts.
Soon enough after a small debate in his mind, he forced himself off his bed. Pulling out his phone his beryl eyes scanned for any notifications. He happily clicked onto the message app, realising he'd gotten a text from his best mate, Calum. It explained how he was coming over tonight. He rolled his mossy green eyes, Calum was so demanding over text. A light laugh left Michaels lips, before he replied to him. Informing the boy to bring beer.
Michael shoved the phone back in his pocket as he set up the plasma tv that hung from the grey bedroom wall. The boy connected his play station with it, happily getting ready for a game marathon with Calum. Mikey's eyes wondered from the television to the neighbours house. He noticed Luke sat by his desk, he was throwing a pocket knife in the air and carefully catching it, repeating the process over and over. Thats until he placed the sharp bladed knife onto his desk and began to carve into the wood. Michael's eyebrows furrowed at the blonde boy, intrigued to see what he was writing. Luckily Luke didn't catch Michael staring at him.
Michael simply shrugged, before climbing out his window and onto the roof, sitting where he was previously sat last night. The fiery orb had began to sink behind the horizon the sky covered in shades of amber and crimson. Michael eyes watched at beautiful swirls of colour surrounded him, from scarlets to rose and the darkness even began to linger through out the sky.
Pulling his lip between his teeth. He leaned backwards towards the window seal he'd just climbed out from. He snatched the carton of smokes, carefully pulling out the cigarette and placing one in-between his lips. A small lighter hid in the carton, Michael ever so quickly lit it. Breathing in the deathly chemicals before exhaling, smoke circling him before flowing into the sunset.
Michael hadn't noticed the smaller blonde staring at him with risen eyebrows until a loud snigger erupted in the silence. Michael instantly snapped his head towards Luke, sending him a kind smile before taking a long drag.
"That's my lighter" Luke piped up, pointing at the red lighter that sat in Michael's lap.
"Well you're not having it back, I-I don't want you to hurt yourself."
A twisted smile formed on Luke's lips. "Hypocrite" he whispered under his breathe, the word so quiet it would whisk away in the thin air. Although Michael still managed to hear, his face scrunched up in confusion, how was he being a hypocrite? "You're doing just as much damage to yourself" the blonde scoffed. "It's not the lighter that holds the power its the person behind it."
"What are you talking about?" Michael asked, sucking in the toxins that he was oh so addicted to.
"Are you ok? Luke answered with another question, completely off topic. Michael shot the boy a strange look.. What was Luke on about?
"I'm fine, why?" Michael chuckled, with a simple shrug. Luke stood to both feet before stepping over to Michael's roof and proceeded to sit next to him, just as Michael did to Luke last night. The blonde smirked at the red head. "I just want to check" Luke murmured, repeating the words Michael spoke.
Luke gently placed his hands on Michael chest, before leaning his head against his shirt. Luke heard his heartbeat slow and steady. "Dude!" Michael growled. "What are you doing?!" Michael didn't stop Luke, it was nice having the boy so close but it was still unusual. Michael wasn't sure what Luke was trying to achieve but it was freaking him out.
