I would stop doing all those things the doctor tells me not to do

But I don't think he understands, I do all of these things for you

A barely audible tap woke Luke from his light sleep. He groaned tiredly, throwing a pillow over his head to block out the irritable sound. Thats until it somehow got louder within each ear bleeding second. Angrily Luke sat up from his bed, blue eyes gazing upon the dark room. Until landing on a pale face from his window. He jumped back in fright, eyes now widened and breath heaving.

"Michael!?" he shout whispered, tumbling out of bed over to his window. He slid the glass open, a breeze of frosty cold hair filled his room causing the young boy to shiver in discomfort. "What the fuck are you doing?! You scared me."

"I have a sudden craving for ice-cream" Michael replied in a whisper, not at all caring that he'd scared the younger boy.

"And you woke me up at two thirty in the morning, to tell me that!?" Luke questioned, pulling his lip between his teeth in anger.

"Well, no, I woke you up to say come with me."

"Go with you where? Michael, you do realise the time" Luke spoke exaggerating every word, well the best he could in a whisper.

"Yes, babe, I do, now lets go get ice-cream.." Michael trailed off, glancing behind his shoulder indicating Luke to follow.

"Nowhere would be open! And I am not going to get ice-cream with you" Luke rebutted, dragging his feet back towards his bed.

The azure eyed boy was yanked back when Michaels hand quickly grasped his. "I know an ice-cream place thats open twenty four hours! Come on Luke, it'll be fun I promise, I'll-I'll even pay" Michael grinned, practically begging his blonde neighbour.

"I swear to god Clifford, if anything bad happens you're the complete blame!" Luke groaned, grabbing the nearest hoodie off his bedroom floor before clambering out of his window.

They walked along the road the comforting sound of silence lurking around the two teenagers. The blonde pulled the coat around his scar covered body trying to find any type of warmth. He regretted not putting any shoes on, only leaving him in his torn socks, which just caused even more lack of heat. "I can't believe you" Luke muttered under breath, shooting his neighbour a sardonic expression. Michael chuckled deeply, wrapping his arm around the younger boy and pulling him into his side.

"Shut up Luke."

Shortly after Michael stopped outside a tiny shop, a warm glowing light coming from the windows. The elder gently pushed open the door, holding it open for Luke to drag his sock clad feet in causing Michael to shake his head; fondly.

"How'd you even know this place was here?" Luke asked, tiredly smiling.

"I just really like ice-cream" Michael confirmed with a nod of his head. Luke chuckled lightly, playfully rolling his eyes.

An older looking women strolled out, wrinkles forming in her freckle covered cheeks when she smiled. "Oh hello" she paused, tying the apron around her fragile body. "What can I do for you two boys?"

A smile sketched onto the pale skinned boys lips, more then excited to finally please his craving. "Hey, can l please have cookies and cream and what about you Lucas?" Michael spoke softly, nudging Luke's ribcage, causing the blondes eyes to shoot up from the grimy floor.

Luke stared at all the flavours, licking his slightly parched lips, unsure on what to pick before settling on chocolate mint.

The two teenagers sat at the small booth, shoulders touching and soft music illuminating from Michaels phone. "Do you think we'll being doing this when we're twenty?" Luke queried, looking up at his only friend, a silly question really.

Michael eyebrows furrowed, turning his head to face the younger boy who was tiredly smiling up at him. Mike leant back against the soft interior, deepening the question in his mind. He would rather spend nights with Luke full of complete and utter pointless conversations, with ice-cream and soft music more then anything. The black haired boy slowly nodded, his voice quiet and innocent whispered "yeah Luke, maybe not in this town, maybe not even in this country, but yes we will." With that said the boy intwined his hand with the blondes.

The action didn't startle the young boy, or nerve Michael, it needed to be shared. Luke stared down at the hands, they didn't fit together perfectly but that for some reason was better. Because maybe just maybe it didn't matter how different the two were.
