Caden's POV
I groaned and opened my eyes. Man I was hungry! I felt pressure on my stomach and looked down. Nico was sound asleep on my stomach and he was holding my hand. I smiled. He looked kinda cute when he was asleep.
I gently shoved his shoulder and he mumbled something. I poked his cheek and he merely swatted at my hand. I rolled my eyes and flicked his forehead. He turned his face into my stomach more and I laughed a little. He brought his face back out of my stomach and I smirked. I was going to have some fun with this! I reached over to the table beside the hospital bed I was in and grabbed a marker. I smiled evilly and got to work.
Three hours later he woke up when Aaron and Amy had come to bring me food. Finally! I was starving.
Aaron set down a tray after moving Nico's head. I looked at the tray and my mouth watered. Bacon, eggs, toast with Nutella, and a glass of chocolate milk sat on the side as well as a chocolate bar. Yeah, I have a bit of an addiction to chocolate.
"Man, you sleep like the dead," Aaron commented, completely ignoring my artwork like I had asked him to.
"Yeah, well," Nico grumbled, "That's what happens when your related to the God of the Underworld himself." Thunder boomed overhead and Nico yelled, "Oh, shut up, you!" and we all looked at each other nervously, half expecting the ground to swallow him.
I reached for the pad of paper that was beside my bed and wrote, 'When can I get out of this joint?'
"Right now if you want, I just have to do some paper work," The nurse lady said while walking up to us. Huh. I never actually learned her name.
We talked for a bit about nothing until she came back. Handing me a piece of paper she said, "I want you to be careful. No strenuous activity. Stay on your crutches for about two weeks then come back and we will see if you'll be fine. I mean it!" She added when she saw the look I was giving Aaron.
She detached all the tubes and I shook out my hand. Hey, yours would have fallen asleep too if you were ADHD and you had been laying still for roughly a day. As soon as I was detached I swung my legs over the edge of the bed. I frowned when I saw a cast on my leg. I was handed a pair of crutches and I wrinkled my nose at them. I mean, eww. Who would actually want to be on crutches?
I did an awkward limp/hop thing out the door with my crutches and went to the common room with Nico, Aaron, and Amy walking along beside me.
"Those look fun," Nico commented sarcastically. I glared at him and crutcherized through the common room door. (Is crutcherized even a word?)
"SURPRISE!" A bunch of voices yelled as soon as I stepped through the door. I quickly looked around and smiled. The rest of the demi-gods as well as the wizards were standing there. There was a few other people I didn't know but that was okay.
"Hey guys!" Harry said while him and Ginny walked up to us, "Food is over there as well as drinks. Have fun! Feel better Caden!" He shouted as Ginny dragged him away.
This was going to be awesome!
"I'm going to go grab something to drink. You want anything?" Nico shouted over the music that had just started blasting into the common room. I shook my head 'no' and crutched off to go get something to eat.
"Hi!" Someone shouted over the music. I turned around and saw Jake. I waved enthusiastically as he handed me a bottle of 'firewhiskey' as the wizards call it. I cracked it open and we clinked bottles and drank.
