CHAPTER TWELVE
My name is Keishi Luzatto.
I am the second and youngest son of His Highness, my father Froilan Luzatto, and the younger twin of Kyreil Luzatto. In the first nine years of my life, I was born and raised with my brother Kyreil by my mother and father in the Western Manor. I lost my brother and mother in a fire that broke out in one of the public libraries here in the central. The next five years of my life was spent with my uncle, Gildoras Dyseige. In those five years, I had been so unsure of my identity with me having forgotten my memory.
Until this day came that I finally knew everything the moment I knew my father's name.
Many people know my father's first name. With him being the current most powerful man in Danior, who wouldn't know his name? I on the other hand forgot that. Gil had never mentioned to me who my father is. I had not also read any books that concerned the royal family before – because the Luzatto crest I saw was on a book about Danior's family crests.
The voice I've been hearing and the dreams are partly true and false. Kyreil and I had silly dreams in the past about wanting a very large garden as far as the eye can see. We also had a fantasy of being able to read another person's mind removing the superficial matters, the reality beneath is revealed. The voices I've been hearing isn't my imagination, they're shards of memory that I imagined was being dictated in my head. Thinking these matters through though, I could see no reality in the dreams. They're just dreams.
Putting those matters aside, my introduction came as a shock to Nicholas' family. I left them stunned there on the grass. It might have been too much but still, I'm thankful for them. I don't actually know why I suddenly remembered all that at that time.
Later that night, all the children and their families were escorted back to their homes. I still hoped that I had spent more time with them. I had to cut my mingling with them short because my head my head started throbbing. I came up to the suite after bidding everyone goodbye. I didn't even think twice about changing into my night clothes. My head hurts, and that's just it.
The next morning came in a blur. I had remembered waking on the floor, my head still hurting. Cassius talked to me about the things to be done as I started fixing myself. By noon, I just realized that I'm already sitting on a first-class train car.
Cassius was reading a book, sitting down at the far edge of the car.
My headache finally subsided. Thank goodness.
I noticed Cassius look up from his book. He stood up and walked towards me, stopping at a good distance. "How are you feeling?"
"Better than yesterday," I replied flatly.
"That's good. We still have at least half an hour of travel. We'll be stopping by the northern station in no time."
"How long have we been here?"
Cassius sat down across me. "About an hour or so. The children's families came to say goodbye but you weren't very well. Is your headache really fine now?"
I nodded quietly.
"I had known that you remembered your past." Cassius pulled out a notebook from his coat. "Can I ask the questions before we reach the station?"
I nodded again. I remembered that Cassius has a list of questions to ask me the first time we met.
"Do you doubt me, Cassius?" I asked.
Cassius stopped. It took a while for him to answer. "No."
I closed my eyes for a moment.
"You did mention yesterday His Highness' name."
