Just like any other day, I woke up and got off of my bed. After Changing and showering like a normal day, I walked into Dante's room. After bowing to him he stood to his feet.
"Well Dakota, you've been a guard for a couple weeks now. Im giving you a task. You, and Alex, have to go kill a vampire slayer that I've already discussed with Alex. He'll tell you all about it. He'll be meeting you outside the lodge. Dont fuck this up.."
"Pfft, have I ever let you down?"
He didnt answer. He sat back down and stared into the ground. I shrugged and left his room, and shortly after I left the lodge. I met Alex next to his new car. Not the one he supposably got killed in. Fucking lies...
I walked towards him and raised an eyebrow.
"You ready?"
I asked.
"Ready? Do you even know what were going at?"
He asked.
"Honestly, no. Dante didn't tell me. Although.. he did say you knew."
He smirked and opened his passenger door for me.
"It'll be fun."
He said.
I climbed into the seat and shut the door. He ran to the other side and got into the drivers seat. I looked over at him.
"Try not to text this time."
He kept his face forward almost as if he didn't hear me. I shrugged it off and rested my head on the seat. I watched as Alex took lefts and rights and U-Turns. After being lost in the woods he stopped the car and climbed out.
I got out as well and looked around.
"Uh.. where is this?"
He looked over at me.
"If you dont be quite it'll be your fucking grave."
I clenched my teeth at his remark and looked around some more. He walked deeper into the forest so I followed. He pointed at a little hut in the woods.
"There... its The... umm it's our targets house."
Before I could reply he jogged beside the hut and sprayed himself with a bottle. I covered my nose.
"That fucking smell! What the fu-"
Landon clenched my mouth shut and sprayed me with the bottle.
"Its so they cant smell us. Shut up and pay attention."
He let go of my mouth and walked into the front door. I followed behind him. There was a stair case that went down into... a basement? In the woods? We stepped down into the basement.
After going deeper into the ground i started hearing foot steps that were neither mine or Alex's. He patted my shoulder.
"The best thing to do is act like your one of them."
He walked down the stairs like an idiot and I kept my distance. He didn't last long before being questioned.
"Hey kid, how'd you get here? You dont belong."
I crouched down and saw a man dragging Alex away. I ran down the stairs quickly and ran towards the guy dragging Alex. Then... in an instant it all went black.
...
Until I woke up. My eyes blurry... I looked up and saw Alex at the other end of the table we were at. There were vampire slayers all around us so I didnt want to make a move.
There was a gun on the table. A tall man moved forward and grabbed the gun. He spun it around on the table. The barrel faced Alex.
"Hey, pick up the gun, put it to your head and pull the trigger."
Alex hesitated.
"NOW!"
he struck alex across the face. Alex growled and grabbed the gun. He put it to his head... he pulled the trigger. It was blank. Nothing happened. He sat the gun back on the table.
The man spun the gun again. It landed on alex again. He shook his head and put it back to his head... this time, again was a blank.
One more spin and it was my turn. I pulled it to my head and exhaled. I looked at the man watching me then back at Alex.
"Now."
I said just before I turned the gun quickly and shot the man at the table.
Alex rushed and disarmed 2 of the slayers and brought then down to the ground, killing them both. I grabbed one of there guns and he grabbed the other.
We rushed deeper into the basement we were in. We stopped at a door and I looked at him.
"This'll be a story when were passing the blunt."
I said.
He laughed and kicked the door open. I saw a familiar man sitting at a desk. He looked up at us as we pointed out guns at him.
"So, Justin, your a Vampire now?"
He asked.
I shook my head trying to remember who this was.
He stood up and smirked.
"I am The Acolyte. The King of all slayers. And your just a kid with a gun."
I looked over at Alex.
"Why the fuck are we trying to kill The Acolyte? Are you crazy?!"
Alex rolled his eyes and shot Acolyte in his left knee. He quickly groaned and fell to one knee.
Alex ran behind him and cuffed his hands together.
"Dakota, here's my keys, go start the car. Hes coming in with us."
He tossed me his keys, and I ran upstairs to the car.
