The bell rang as I stood there in the hall with tears in my eyes and the confusion of losing Ashley. It's Sam that ruined my life. Now Ashley is gone and I'll probably never see her again.

I walked down the hall to my locker and opened it. I pulled out my books and carried them to art. I walked into the room and sat down in my assigned seat.

The teacher made us sculpt mythical creatures with clay. I made a vampire because you know, most people think there fake. I made a decent sculpture of one. It wasn't that bad honestly, it was pretty good for my first sculpture.

After that class I walked down to wood shop. I started working on a project that the teacher wanted me to make. I was supposed to make a cutting board. This brought a lot if remarks from other people.

"You need that for your wrists?"

"All you need now is a blade."

"I wonder why an Emo needs a cutting board..."

I avoided these comments each day. I didn't care anymore what they thought. I just miss Ashley. I left the class to go to Spanish. I walked into the room and sat down in my seat.

"Justin, you okay man?"

Said Blake.

I didn't reply. I just threw my head back and wished for today to not have happened. I put my face in my hands... Hoping something would happen. Like maybe id get her back. But... No. Landon came and sat next to us.

"Justin, what's wrong? Tell me."

Said landon, worried.

"It's Ashley man... She's killing me."

I said.

"Oh her? Dude that's my cousin. And after that photo I took I thought you two were together."

He said.

"Oh so you took the photo? And she's your cousin?... Why didn't you tell me."

I said.

"I dont know. I didn't think you wanted to know. And yeah I took it."

He said.

"I thought you were to high to remember taking it."

I replied.

The teacher walked in and landon went back to his seat.

"¡Hola! ¿Como Estas?"

Today was going to suck... After Spanish was lunch. I walked down the hall and put my books back in my locker. I walked down to the lunch room. I got my lunch and sat down at the normal table. I ate peacefully and went through with the rest of my day at school.

I took the bus home, and stepped inside. I walked to the kitchen to be greeted by my father.

"Justin, training.... Now."

Those were the last words I wanted to hear but then again, I needed to train. I didn't want to get executed. I followed my father into the back yard. He stood around 15 feet away and begun to charge at me.

I jumped but he caught me and slammed me on my back. I stood back up and got ready for another charge. He stormed at me again, I Tried to hit him with my shoulder, but his force was to much and it threw me back a few feet, crashing into the shed, denting it.

I stood back up and stretched my back. I got ready for another charge and took my stance. My father ran towards me, and I threw my left leg up, connecting to his jaw and throwing him to the ground.

"Progress Justin. Good work."

He stood back up and brought me into the shed. All there was in here, was a statue of a man in the middle of the shed.

"That... Is The Acolyte. He was the best slayer we had. Only true slayers can access the code he holds."

said father.

"Wait... So that statue, holds a code?"

I asked.

"Yeah, a riddle, if you will."

He replied.

He left the shed and locked the door. Now I get it. I have to access the code huh? Fuck.... I walked up to the statue, and pressed my hand against it. It started to glow a bright blue color.

I put my right hand against it, and took off my left. It started to glow red this time. Hmm. Maybe if I put both hands it'll glow purple? I pressed both hands against the statue, and it did. It shun a bright purple.

I saw words flow across the bottom of the statue glowing a cloudy white color.

'Red indicates pain. Blue indicates pleasure. Purple indicates neutral.'

That's all it read. A picture flashed across the statue. A man sitting in a room with a blade in his hand. His head low, and arms weak.

I put my right hand on the statue and it glew red. Then it flashed green. A wall behind the statue opened a little. Another Picture flew into the air.

A boy holding a girl's hand on a school bus. This was obviously pleasure. I placed my left hand on the statue, turning it blue, it flashed green afterwards and the walls opened even more.

The light from behind the walls shining against the statue. Another photo came into the air. It was a boy and girl laying in bed together. The girls hand was pressed against the boys chest.

I pressed my left hand again. It brightened blue, then green and the doors behind the statue threw open. I walked into the room. It was a very large room, many different obstacles around it.

There was one particular space in this room. It looked like a huge gym. It had a parkour scenario set up. My father was waiting there. I walked slowly to him still looking around the room.

"This is where The Acolyte trained. I'm training you here because you are far behind the requirements of a slayer. This should speed up the process of your training."

Said father.

"Alright. Let's get started."
