Chapter 16

Lucy had to leave and I'm really sad but our mom exchanged emails and Facebooks so they can try and get us together for feises. When Lucy left it was time for Sadies recall. She recalled duh. She was the only one doing blackbird but she looked really good. Miss Kelly thinks she's gonna qualify for NANS and I hope so so then we all can go! We hang out with Mila a bit because her sister recalled too so we're really excited for them.

We take a bunch of selfies on her iPod. She's so lucky that she has an iPod. Me Mia and Lucy were all begging our moms for one so we can have a group chat. They said not now... But twenty billion selfies later it was finally time for their results.

"I have the result for competition 10 girls under 7 solos." The familiar voice calls over the loudspeaker. Sadie and Megan get their dresses arms and hold hands while theirs running over to get in line. Sadie is number 204 and Megan is 132.
"Okay we have our top ten in numerical order: 103... 120... 132..." Mila lets out a gasp. Megan is 5 like Sadie so nobody thought she would make top 10.
"...144...155...178...190...204..." We all scream for Sadie as she runs up and hugs Megan.
"...215 and 245" there were 142 girls so there's 71 places so that's gonna take a while. After sitting through 61 places they finally bring back the top 10.

"Girls guess what." The announcer calls out
"What!?" They all call back
"YOURE ALL QUALIFIED FOR THE 2016 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!"
And then we all lost our hearing because they all shrieked.

"Okay girls settle down. I have to finish the awards! In 10th place competitor 245 Isabella Massy from the Massy Academy..."
We wait through 9th to 7th and it's not Megan or Sadie. I honestly think they've broken each other's hands.
"In 6th place competitor... 1...03 Jessica Wells from the Miller-Young School! Let's hear it for our top 5!!!"

By this point moms crying and I think Mia is too! I'm just jumping up and down screaming .
"Okay in 5th place... Competitor 144 Hadlyn Trent from the Cassy School! In 4th place... Competitor... 178! Brooklyn Trent from the Cassy School!" I guess those two are twins. They have matching dresses and are super cute. I'm screaming for Sadie and I realize I'm crying. I hug Mila and we just jump up and down for our baby sisters. "In 3rd place... Competitor... 132! Megan O'Donnell from the Francis O'Donnell Academy!"
"GO MEGAN!" We all scream. We're all sobbing because Sadie is in the top 2. She is too!

"Let's hear it for our top 2! In second place... Competitor... 1...32 Sadie Peterson from the O'Larry-Wells Academy!"
"GO SADIE!!!!" We all scream She gets her sash and it's the size of her! We're all crying so hard and my mom just says "I hope she doesn't drop the crystal..." We all crack up. They finally finish and we all run over to Sadie and Megan. We hug them and they moms want a photo of all of us. Then just Sadie and Megan and Megan and Mila and us and Sadie. It's legit the paparazzi... After a thousand photos we take Sadie out of her dress and her and Megan are sitting next to me and at one point I look over and they're both asleep on eachothers shoulders. Even I'm getting tired! Mom finally decides that we should go and me and Mila pick up Sadie and Megan and carry them back to our hotel.

I put Sadie down so her and Megan can say their goodbyes. I hug Mila then Mia does and we make plans for our next feis which is the day after Christmas. The best Christmas present ever: I get to see my best friends again! I pick Sadie back up and we go into the elevator. Mila, Megan and her mom get off at floor 10 but we're on 16 so we have to stay on. I'm falling asleep standing up but I some how walk back into the room and change into my pjs and get to bed. Best. Oireachtas. Ever. I think before I fall asleep
