Forgotten Memories

Chapter 7

Jeremy and Lisa lead me into the group of others. I notice three other women, four other men, and two children; one is a boy and the other is a girl. "This is Melody guys. Feel free to introduce yourselfs." Jeremy says to the others , pats my back, and heads toward the RV. First an older man with white hair, husky build, and dark bags under his eyes walks towards me. "The name is Adam." He says in a gruff voice, shakes my hand, smiles, then walks away. Next a woman in her thirties came up to me. She has dark hair, slim build, and the little girl is hiding behind her. "My name is Janessa and this is my daughter Luce, she is only six." The woman says smiling at the girl behind her. I smile at them and they walk back to the fire. Another woman came up, she has blonde hair, a medium build and she looks around the same age as Jeremy. "Hello. My name is Caroline." She also smiles and walks away. This time a man in his thirties came up to me. He has brownish hair, the beginings of a beard, and a feirce look in his eyes. Maybe he is the 'leader'? He shakes my hand and says, "Name's Dan." he nods and walks off. Another woman walks up to me next, she has dark brown hair and a petite look to her; she also has the boy from earlier at her side. He looks alittle like Matt...(A.N I know I did not specify earlier Melody's little brothers name, but its Matt.) "My name is Kat and this is my son, Cody." I smile at them, the boy waves and they walk back to the house. Then a guy in his mid-twenties walks up and says, "I'm Bryan." then just walks away. Finally the last man rushes up to me. He looks the same age as L did...He has dark skin, dark hair and a muscular build. "Please don't mind Bryan, he is alittle rude, but he is a good guy once you get to know him." He smiles."My name is Chris." With that he waves then walks away. Leaving me standing beside Lisa next to the car.

Okay, so there are six men: Jeremy, Adam, Dan, Bryan, Chris, and the little man Cody. There are five women: Lisa, Janessa, the little lady Luce, Caroline, and Kat. So far they all seem really kind. Lisa told me some of their ages and just a few tid-bits I should know. Jeremy is 19, Adam is 64, Dan is 32, Bryan is 23, Chris is 34 (the same age as L) and the little man Cody is 13. Lisa herself if 35, Janessa 34, her daughter Luce is 6, Caroline is 19 as well, and finally Kat is 32. Some of them are also married to each other; Kat and Dan, Janessa and Chris, then Jeremy and Caroline are dating. I'm hoping that soon, I can learn their stories and find out more about them.

"Everyone here has a specific job based on their ablities." Lisa says to me. "Like Jeremy, for example, he is the town-runner. He is young and a quick thinker, that makes him good for that job." She states nodding. Jeremy butts in,"We all contribute to something, some of us hunt, while others cook or clean." He says. "The house is fenced off which provides some sort of protection from the walkers. (A.N. See, these people will call the zombies walkers while Melody calls them biters in honour of L.) There is also a lake nearby with fish, there is always the woods, and of course we have a garden and some animals." Lisa finishes. I smile and nod at them while they lead me to where I'll be sleeping from now on. A nice sized room, floral wallpaper, and wooden floor boards accompany the room. They get me settled in, leave me to ponder in my thoughts and go to sleep. I think I am going to like it here...
