"You are going to be okay?" Devilin asks as he stops the car in front of Ariel's home.

"No, but I will try" Ariel states sadly.

"I am sorry, I should have checked about him myself" Devilin sighs tiredly.

"It's not your fault; it wouldn't have been so bad if he had come up clear about it beforehand. I do not mind giving him my blood if it will help his sister but...

What hurts the most is that he used our connection, I thought that I could live my life on my own and that I do not have to rely on daddy or you or anyone if I have my mate by my side but as always...

I am such a fool," Ariel cries as she covers her face with both of her hands.

"No, you are not, if anyone is than it's him" Devilin states as he pulls her hands away and wipes her tears.

"How can anyone do such a thing Dev, I thought we were mates" she asks him desperately.

Devilin pulls her into his arms and softly runs his hands through her hair.

"I don't know Air, I really don't know. I wish I could take all of your pain away but I cannot. Are you sure you two are mates?" he asks trying to calm her down.

"I thought..."

"You are not sure?"

"I don't know, what I feel anymore"

"Why don't you talk with Jasmine about it, ask her how it feels like when you find your mate...

I do not know what made you think he is your mate, but do not just jump to conclusions okay. Think about it all properly, that guy, I do not trust him, now even more that he hurt you...

I won't let anyone hurt you any more than you already are Air, I am sorry I wasn't there to save you sooner" Devilin apologizes as he let her go and holds her face in his palms making sure she was okay.

"Wouldn't it have been better if we were mates, Devilin?" she asks him.

"Did you ever think about it?" she adds in a hurry.

"Air, having you as my mate would have been an honor but no matter what, my feelings for you are not like that in anyway...

You and Jane, you both are equal to me, I can never see you like that, I am sorry. I know there is someone out there for you, who will love you so much that you will forget everything that happened, promise me you will never make any rash decisions...

Go get some sleep and rest for now, and come tomorrow morning try to solve whatever you felt with Eric, I do not know if you two are mates or not but what I know is the next time he tries to come near you, he will have to go through me...

Devilin starts his car and drives away from the Martin land, now that Ariel was back home safe, he feels at ease.

He needs to find out more about Eric as it seems Eric was not what he look like. However, first he needs to talk with his father about it and then Enzo.

The ring of his phone brings him back from his thoughts; he stops his car on the side before he receives the call.

"It's me," he says as he picks it up.

"Right now...how long ago did it happen? Okay...anyone tagging along with me...fine I am on my way" Devilin answers, he cuts the call after that.

He sits in the car thinking through things, as it seems he would be gone for few days now. With a sigh, he once again picks up his phone and dials a number, wishing the idiot would pick it up this time.
