Ariel lies on Dev's chest, as she cannot believe what she just did, she never knew it was in her to actually ask Dev to mate, trusting her heart once again and being with Dev.

"What are you thinking?" Dev asks her pulling her head up to look at her face.

"Just that why did you not do it?" she asks him.

"Mate you? Simple, because we both know that is a huge step we both are not ready to take. You still have the ghosts of your past lurking around and I know if we happen to do anything past kissing and snuggling you would freak out...

I...because I do not want you to do it to please me and because you still are haunted by your past. Let us just enjoy being together for a while, if it makes you feel uneasy then I can mark you," he suggests but she just shakes her head no.

"I don't think that is a bright idea" Ariel shakes her head no, shivering a bit thinking of someone sinking their teeth into her skin.

"Hey, don't think about it, please," Dev whispers, holding her tight to him

"Dev, what happens if you find your mate?" she asks him suddenly.

"I don't know how to tell you this, but you are it for me Air. One day may be I can explain it all to you, but don't ask anything about it now" he sighs regretfully.

"Okay, I just don't want to be the only one to fall in this all alone"

"Don't worry, I have fallen too deep in this way before you did" he confesses kissing her hair.

"It's good to hear it" she smiles before getting up slightly.

"Oh I forgot to ask, but how come you are here and for so long? I mean you did say you would be gone for a while...

So, what happened?" she asks him slightly tilting her head to the side.

"Well, I did have to go for a while but now I am back. I don't think I will leave anytime" he smiles before pushing her head back onto his chest.

"Oh well"

Dev sighs as he keeps a hold on her staring at the ceiling as his head runs mile a minute.

"What are you two doing?" Dante asks as he walks inside the conference hall to find Ethan along with Enzo.

"We were just checking on few things about where Eric could have run off to. Matching information up" Enzo replies while Dante takes a seat and puts his legs on the table humming.

"Why is it so hard to hunt him down anyway?" he murmurs twisting the ring on his finger.

"We will find him soon, I have alerted everyone so every eye is searching for him and we will find him soon"

"Do that, as I cannot keep my eye on the boy got my own shit going on" Dante nods.

"So, heard there was a bit of chaos on going with Chris, is it all good?" Ethan asks curiously.

"Yes no one is hurt, it's a good thing no one was hurt and we got the footage of everything as well as it seems the by standers were taken care of" he answers rubbing his jaw.

"If that so then why do you seem tensed, is it something to do with Chris?" Enzo asks watching his carefully.

"No, I asked Connor to let one of us train his son to control his powers and he will answer us soon...

Chris is not the one I am worried about, it's my own son actually"

"Why, what happened?" both Ethan and Enzo watches him curiously.
