Chapter Eighteen

Previously on Kissing Lessons With the Jerk:

"Ew. Harley. You are so disgusting." I couldn't help but smile. "But, I would gladly give him my virgini-"

I stopped walking and looked at the person right in front of me. He was a few feet away from us, but I could clearly see him leaning against the escalator.

He had a white baseball cap on, and because Harley's back was in front of him she didn't really notice him.

Because she didn't know him.

She doesn't know him.

But I do.

He was the star of my nightmares.

And now, I'm seeing him again.

Except I wasn't in a dream, and he wasn't there raping me.

He was right in front of me.

Smirking.

Making me shudder.

And I walked away to the food court as fast as I could. Dragging Harley with me.

And I could feel him following us.

"Loui? Slow down, what's wrong?"

I just shook my head not wanting slow down, as if telling her that I would tell her as soon as we were with Parker.

Because Parker is my safe haven. And I needed him to protect me.

To make me feel safe.

I could still feel Bob following us, hot on our heels. And I started to panic. All these years of pretending that nothing bad had happened to me, it all came back down to me like a huge wall and I didn't know how to escape from it.

Because there wasn't such a thing as an escape, you just gotta keep running and pretending that nothing bad had happened.

Harley must have noticed Bob following us because she asked, "Loui? Why is that man following us? Although he looks kinda hot, for you know a thirty year old. He looks creepy."

I shuddered at what Harley told me. Bob was a good looking thirty year old. But I can never forget the way he raped me.

I don't think I'll ever forget.

And before I could even reply Parker was suddenly wrapping his arms around me.

I didn't notice I was sobbing until I felt his shirt getting wet.

"Loui? What's wrong? Why are you crying love?"

"H-he's- B-b-bob i-s-"

Harley was rubbing slow circles on my back as she told Parker, "There was this thirty year old guy following us. And he's still here. Buying pretzels over there. At least pretending to buy one."

Parker growled, "Which one is he? That motherfucking scum bag."

"The one with the white baseball cap." Harley replied.

But before Parker could even kill the poor excuse of a man, I hugged him to prevent him from walking towards him. "I want to go home."

"No we need to -"

"Please."

He sighed, kissing my forehead. "We'll get him I promise."

I looked at Harley. And I can see that she's confused. But she didn't ask who Bob was and for that I was grateful for her.

I woke up with the feeling of Parker's arm wrapped around my waist. He snuggled closer to me.

He was still asleep. And my heart fluttered, he's so handsome. But I promised myself that I won't fall for him.

Because he will just hurt or leave me in the end, its always been the same sob story of how the two lovers never really ended up together.

Those types of things can only happen in movies and books.

"Stop staring Louise." Parker whispered with his husky morning voice. His eyes were still closed.

Which I secretly love.

"I wasn't, how did I fall asleep anyway?"

He smiled, with his eyes still closed, he honestly looked adorable. "You fell asleep in the car. Of course I drove Harley home first."

I kissed his lips, just a peck. "Thanks Parker. This means a lot to me. You're the only person that I trust with my life right now, aside from my brothers and my dad."

He opened his eyes, smiling his real smile that could make just about any girl melt. "I care about you Louise." He put his hand on my cheek caressing it.

I leaned into his warm touch.

Savoring this moment.

"I'd protect you any time of the day Loui."

"I know," I kissed his nose, "What time is it? I feel like eating bacons."

He chuckled, "And she's back! We can always cook love."

I jumped out of the bed, "Well?! Come on then I'm hungry!"

He sighed, trying to fight off the smile that's trying to form on his face, "Princess."

"Why thank you kind Jerk."

He shook his head and chuckled.

Atleast, for a little while, I get to forget about all the bad things.
