I was in my room playing with this old board game, chess. I'm not really sure how to play, but it looks rather fascinating. All the pieces have their own shape, size, and moves. I'd like to play if only I knew how. Maybe Jay would play, but he'd say it's too boring. Everything to him is boring these days, and I don't know what to do to change that. What can we do on the most depressing, boring island in the world? Good question that has yet to be answered. Weird how've I've been on this island for 12 years still to figure out how to have fun. The villains' definition of fun is to basically do evil things while my definition is to feel enjoyment. But, that's another thing that makes me different from everyone else on the island.

After about 15 minutes of moving chess pieces around the checkered board, I walked down downstairs to get some food. When I walked in the kitchen I saw my mother walking around the kitchen putting some supplies in a bag. She looked rather busy or just very, very rushed.

"Hey, mom.", I said, making her briefly look at me before she continued to her organizing. "Whatcha doing?"

Once she put what looks like a washcloth in the bag she let out a heavy breath and smiled at me. "Ellie, I have amazing news."

My eyebrows raised in curiosity of her excitement. "Okay, well it must be amazing if you have a smile that big on your face."

"It is indeed very big news. You know how I've told you stories of how I was a queen in a kingdom and had my sister, your aunt, Anna.", she stated.

I nodded. "Of course, you tell me about it everyday."

"Well, what if you actually got to see them?"

I was now totally confused. I think my mother has officially gone crazy. "You lost me."

She laughed at me even though I didn't say anything funny. Yep, she's gone mad.

"You don't understand, Ellie. We can actually leave this island and go to Auradon."

My mouth was a little open from being confused, excited, and baffled. Mostly confused overall.

"Did you forget about the part where we're trapped on an island? Mom, I think you've finally hit the crazy train.", I stated, grabbing a banana from off the counter. I peeled it and took a bite letting her stare at me.

"You're not listening. Queen Belle and King Beast are letting us off the island and letting us go home."

My jaw dropped making the piece of banana in my mouth fall on the tile floor.

"We leave next week.", she squealed. "Isn't this exciting? We get to go home."

"This is our home.", I started, putting the banana back on the counter. "It's my home anyway. I was raised here."

"Yes, but we don't belong here." She walked up to me slowly and grabbed each of my hands. "This is what's best for us."

"B-But what about everyone here that I've grown up with? I can't just abandon this island, I grew up here."

"But not by choice. We're only here because that's what the King and Queen wanted, but now we can leave. You can finally meet our family and see our castle."

I shook my hand and let her hands go. "Can I have a chance to think about all this? You're literally shoving every piece of this information in my brain and I just can't."

I stormed out of the house not letting my mother's words be heard. I just don't want to listen. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to see my family and see the kingdom and Arendelle and meet the king and queen and all of that, but I'm not happy to leave the island. I have friends here and have bonded with them. They're practically my second family. Leaving them would be hard and would really hurt me. But at the same time I can't let my mother just leave by herself, I'd miss her too much.
