I i smiled as I watched Pete lay out the picnic blanket under a tree in the park. How did I get so lucky. I sat down as Pete pulled out the food from the basket.

We sat down and were talking and eating. Man it was beautiful out. It was fall and Halloween was soon. I love Halloween.

"Hey Pat. You ok? you spaced out."

"Yea I was just thinking about how perfect this is. Thank you Pete this is great."

"It's only great because you're here."

"You're such a hopeless romantic Pete."

"Yes but i'm only that way with you."

Oh my frick i wanna scream Pete is so freakin charming and attractive ugh. Oh shit he just smiled at me. Whats that? Oh just the sound of my heart exploding no biggy.

"Pete you're amazing. I've never met anyone like you before."

He just hugged me.

Fore the next hour we just lay there looking at the sky. I was resting my head on his chest an i loved just listening to his heart beat.

Then we saw Frank and Gee talking a walk through the park.

"Hey guys!"

They ran up to us

Then Frank gasped.

"Are you guys like a thing now?!"

He squealed like Brendon did.

"Haha yea just taking my boyfriend on our first date."

"Aww you guys are adorable."

Wow I think thats the first i heed Gee talk.

"Hey you guys wanna go grab a coffee. We could all hang out."

"That sounds great."

When we got there we saw Brendon and when he saw us he jumped up and ran over to us.

"Aw here comes the two cutest couples in the whole world!"

"Haha hey Bren."

We all sat at the booth laughing and talking. about fifteen minutes in Gee gasped and got all teary and ran out of the place and Frank ran after him.

"I wonder what happened. I hope Gees ok."

Brendon said and we agreed.

I started feeling sleepy and I almost fell asleep on Petes shoulder until Brendon shouted.

"AWWW. SLEEPY LITTLE PAT."

"Come on Pat you're tired i'll walk you home. See ya later Brendon."

"Bye guys!"

He walked me home and stayed over because tomorrow was only Sunday.

We were watching tv and i started to fall asleep again. Pete picked me up and put me on my bed, kissed my cheek and said sweet dreams Pat then i fell asleep.

I woke up an Pete was already awake. He was texting frantically and he seemed worried.

"Hey Pete are you ok?"

"Frank texted me. Gees younger brother Mikey's in the hospital he got into a car accident. He Wants us to go see him and bring Bren."

"Oh. Ok then lets go."

We went to Brendons house and told him and since none of us have drivers licenses except Brendon we had no choice but to let him drive. Oh no.

"hoLY SHIT BREN SLOW The fUCK DOwn!"

Pete yelled as i just sat next to him hoping i make it out alive.

We finally made it there in one peice as we told the receptionist we were there to see Mikey Way.

We entered the room and Frank was holding A sobbing Gee.

Frank had Gee sit down as he took us outside to tell us whats going on.

"Gees brother is ok but he's in a coma. He was with his friend and his friends dad was driving. They were released from the hospital a few hours ago."

"Oh no i'm so sorry."

"Aww poor Gee!"

"I hope Gees ok."

We all went back into the hospital room and Gee collapsed into Franks arms.

I just looked at Mikey. I felt tears in my eyes. Why? I didn't even know this kid. hmm.

Pete came up and hugged me.

"It's just so sad."

"I know Pat it's ok. You wanna go home?"

I just nodded.

"Hey Bren can you bring us home we're tired and i think it'll be best to leave them alone with Mikey.

He just nodded.

The car ride was silent. That's unusual considering we were with Brendon.

"Um I know you guys won't care because the considering but um i'm gay."

"I knew it!"

Pete shouted and i just said

"Is every god damn guy in this town gay what the frick."

And we all just started laughing. It was great i was with my Friends having a good time. It felt wrong though.

We were just with our friends who were crying over something tragic and now we are laughing like it didn't happen.

"Hey Pat are you ok? you look upset."

"No um i'm fine."

"Ok..."

"Hey you guys wanna hang out?"

Brendon asked.

"No um could you drop me off at my house i'll have to skip out today."

"I'll go with you."

"No i just wanna be alone. I'll see you in school."

And with that i got out of the car and went into my room. That was a little harsh but I really don't feel well.

Not like sick or anything. Just like those moments where you have no motivation. You don't wanna get out of bed. You don't wanna talk to people. you feel empty and nothing can help you until it just goes away after a few days.

The next day at school sucked.
