As we are driving down main street Jane starts telling me all the different restaurants there are to eat in the tiny town of Russellville, KY. It seems there are only about seven. I laugh to myself at how much smaller this town is compared to the ones I have lived in before.

"And, of course, there is also McDonald's." She giggles while looking over at me after she pointed out the building.

"Oh, how fancy," I tease.

"I think you would like this cute little diner that is right up the road." She tells me and I nod my head. I drive towards the restaurant with the help of her directions.

"So, how have you been? I've kind of missed you, even though that probably sounds weird." She laughs, turning her head away so I can't see the shade of red her cheeks have become.

"I've been good. Just trying to work and figure life out, I guess. I've kind of missed you too," I say, shoving her shoulder. I have, in a way, missed Jane, but I've been so caught up with Anna that I haven't really had time to even think about her or where we stand. I'm not really for sure what Jane thinks we are, if she even thinks we are anything.

"I'm sorry, you're just so different than most guys, Harry, and it's so attractive." She admits, turning to face me. "I know I probably sound crazy, but it's true." I am a bit shocked at what Jane is saying, I knew she had feelings for me, but I didn't know how deep they were.

"I'm flattered, really, but I'm not really for sure how to respond." I want to tell Jane how great she is, but I'm afraid she will want to date and at the moment I am in no position to do so. I want to figure out Anna more and explore our relationship.

"Are you seeing someone else? If you are please tell me." Jane's face holds this alarmed and almost sad expression.

"It's hard to explain...I am, but I'm not. At least it's not official yet." I try to explain this odd situation that I am in with Anna without actually telling her I am seeing a ghost.

"If you think this whole going out to eat thing is weird, please tell me and you can just drop me off at my car and just forget I ever asked." I shake my head no, refusing to take her back because it's only lunch, it's not like Anna will find out.

"Are you sure?" I nod my head and continue to drive towards the restaurant. The rest of the ride is silent, only the sound of our steady breathing can be heard.

We pull up to the restaurant and get out. I lock the doors behind us and head in the direction of the entrance.

"Table for two?" Asked the young girl, who is standing behind a podium, holding two menus.

"Yes," Jane and I say in unison. The girl leads us to our table and motions for us to sit down. The walls are decorated in an out west or cowboy theme. Hats, boots, horseshoes and ropes litter the walls, creating this southern vibe.

"What can I get you guys to drink?" The short blonde asked, holding her pen and paper, ready to take our order. I decide on sweet tea and so does Jane. The waitress scurries off to the kitchen to retrieve our orders.

"Isn't this place cute?" I say more as a question. Jane laughs and replies with, "It has a charm to it." The girl comes back with our drinks and writes down the actual food portion of our order after we decide.

"So, how has the library been? Very busy?"

"It's actually been pretty slow, the business has just died lately." She explains, taking a sip of her tea.

"Hopefully it will pick back up soon." We continue to chat and talk about random things and just life in general before our food finally comes out. Jane and I both dip in, filling our tummies full to the max.

"That was pretty amazing." I say, after stuffing my face for a good ten minutes.

"I agree," Jane adds.

I pay the bill and we head back out to my old truck. I start the old engine up, it roaring to life with a doubting sound, but I think nothing of it.

"Now where to?"

"We can head back to your place, or we could just drive... It's up to you though." Jane almost whispers. I pull out of the parking lot and head in the opposite direction of the house. I have been meaning for a long time to explore and I think today is the day that I finally do.

"You know your way around here pretty well, right?" I have to ask since I don't want us getting lost and end up running out of gas and be stranded somewhere.

"Of course. I have lived here my whole life, I think I know where I'm going." She laughs, hitting my shoulder. With that all said, I start to drive, enjoying the beautiful scenery and all of the animals that litter the endless fields and pastors.

It's probably a good hour or two before it starts pouring down rain, making it very hard to see out the windshield. I squint attempting to see, but slowly starting to fail miserably.

"Harry, if you have to you can pull over and wait for the rain to pass. I don't mind waiting around." Jane comments, looking over at me with a worried expression. She softly plays with her blonde hair as her sea blue eyes stare intently at me. Just as I'm about to pull over, the truck starts to make this awful sound. The vehicle slows itself down until it comes to a complete stop. Thankfully, I had gotten us off the road before it quit.

"I guess we are waiting out the rain without a choice." Jane laughs, looking over at me. The thunder outside booms and the rain continues to pour, as the sun begins to set off in the distance. I check my phone to check the time when I notice I have no service. Well this is just great, I think to myself.

"It looks like we'll be staying here for the night." I announce, feeling a bit nervous to stay the night with jane, but also kind of excited...

This story will probably only have 15 more chapters! I can't believe we are so close to the end. I have so much planned for the remaining chapters and I can't wait for you all to read it!
