Okay, so this is my second chapter, I'll try to make this one longer than the first, (which was pretty much an introduction) and this one will actually get into the story a little more :) I've never actually been to America so I don't know exactly how things work there but through some research I'm hoping I haven't got everything too far off.
Read and enjoy :) xx
Mr Miller showed Lewis to his seat, which just happened to be next to mine.I groaned to myself and slumped down in my seat, I put my glasses back on and folded my arms across my chest. I guess you could say that I am the nerd int he class, I'm pretty much exactly what you'd expect in the movies, the glasses, often the pigtails and all the good grades along with it. My friends are my class-mates, no one else around school would seem to want to be associated with people like me.
Lewis took his seat next to me and put his bag on the floor, on my side and turned to me with his hand out, "Lewis Marshall." he said flashing a while, "And you are?"
I didn't move, I stared ahead at Mr Miller's desk angrily, "Jodie Simpson." my best friend said, "This is Abigail Mullen."
"Nice to meet you." Lewis said with a nod of his head, he inhaled quickly but was cut off my Mr Miller, "Okay class, go on and have a good day, don't get into too much trouble."
"Ladies." Lewis gave Jodie and I a quick nod and got up along with the rest of us.
"What have you got first?" Jodie asked me, grabbing my arm before I could escape the room and Lewis, I thought for a second, "Maths. What about you?"
"It doesn't matter what I have." she said, "I'll see you at break."
"Okay-." Jodie quickly left the room, "..bye." I stood in silence for a second and gathered my bags and books, "Hey," Lewis' voice suddenly said from behind me, "What have you-?"
Before the Brit could finish what he was saying I stormed out of the room to my first lesson of maths. I swung the door open and took my seat near the back of the class, I unpacked my math and equipment and sat in silence as the rest of the class filed in and took their seats. I breathed a sigh of relief when the teacher started talking about the lesson, but my relief was short lived- Lewis came into the room and the teacher spoke to him quietly for a moment, then gestured for him to take a seat... next to me...
Great... I thought, just great... not only do I have to sit next to this guy in home room but in maths as well? What is this place? Hell on earth?
Mr Case started the lesson with a simple starter, Lewis lent towards me and whispered so that no one else could hear, "I have no idea what I'm doing."
I glanced at him and he flashed me a white smile, "Then you better get learning." I grumbled, "This is a lesson, don't talk to me."
Mr Case droned on and on and on about the algebra and the upcoming test in a week or so, I tried to concentrate on what he was saying but having a hot British guy sitting next to you does not make it an easy thing to do. I glanced at Lewis just as he ran his fingers through hisdark brown hair and slumped down in his seat with a sigh, he obviously didn't get the maths work.
I muttered under my breath and scribbled a few notes down in my maths book about a few things to remember for the test. The bell rang, almost making me jump out of my seat in surprise; I looked around quickly and realised that everyone was already getting their things packed. I reached for my bad and shoved my books in. Mr Case strode to my desk and looked down at my open maths book, "You never seem to disappoint me." he said with a smile, "You'll have no problem with the test, you're of my best students."
