"You met some one?" I asked calmly. He nodded sheepishly. "Yeah. Yesterday in fact. Just before I came to pick you up from school." Aww. He's finally moving on. "Oh my gosh I'm so happy for you Dylan!" Shannon said looking at me for my reaction. "Wow dad that's amazing. What's her name? How old is she? Does she have any kids? What's-" Shannon cut me off. "Chyna I'm pretty sure your dad will tell you all in due time. Now eat." I loved this. Shannon fit in so well. Dad was moving on. Now that was..different. But it was a nice different. It was a change.
Not long after we all called it a night.

-skip the week. Now Friday.-

It's now Friday after school. Caitlin's round. Me and Shannon explained that we were moving literally three doors down from her. But that wasn't the reason she was round. It was Shannon's date with Aiden tonight. We could both tell how nervous she was. Caitlin and I got her contacts to wear for the night. I knew where she was going for her date. Aiden asked me to make sure she wore something warm and comfortable. They were going horse riding then for a picnic. So we kept everything simple. Caitlin done her hair in a warrior braid. Which was a centre Dutch braid over lapped by a loose fish braid. I kept her make up simple. Very light layer of gold eyeshadow and mascara with a light amount off eye liner. With a light matte pink liquid lipstick. She wore light washed jeggings with a white blouse with a denim print cardigan. I lent her one of my many leather jackets incase it got to cold. To finish her outfit she wore black leather mid shin high boots. At exactly 7:30pm Aiden arrived. Dad opened the door and had a chat with Aiden. Me and Caitlin listened in. "If you hurt Shannon I will pay a guy to kill you and make it look like a suicide." Yeah cause that worked the first time. I thought to myself bitterly. "I-I would n-never hurt Shannon sir. She's the most amazing girl I've ever met." Aw! I looked over at Caitlin and she nodded. We both entered the room. "Aiden." We both nodded. Then started circling him. "If you say, do or even think anything inappropriate towards Shannon we will both torture you until your begging for life to be finished with. She's gone through a lot. So we will find. And we we will kill you if-" we were cut off by Shannon. "Ohkay Aiden I'm sorry about them. All of them. Ready?" He turned and looked at her in forgiveness from saving his ass. But it then turns into admiration. "You look beautiful!" Shannon blushed. "We want back by ten. Half ten at the latest." Me and Caitlin shouted. We were practicing it all day. Yup totally not saddos. "Bravo girls. I think you scared him." Dad said with a chuckle. We both turned round with innocent looks. "No ones as scary as us when we're looking out for family." Caitlin stated. "Now off to food world." She said dramatically and shot off towards the kitchen. "Chyna, the moving truck will be here Monday after school. Make sure everything's packed by then. I already have a buyer for this house." I smiled and nodded. New house new life I guess. Then I followed Caitlin's cue and raced to the kitchen.

It was exactly ten when Shannon got in. She had a dreamy look on her face. Wait- did I look like that after being with xav? "Yes Chyna you do. And yes Chyna you did just say that out loud. And yes I know you better than you know yourself." Caitlin said without even looking up from her laptop. Oh Jesus. She knows way to much. Shannon came into the room practically dancing. She disappeared into the closet and came out ten minutes later with her make up off; hair put in a messy bun. Glasses on and was changed into an oversized top and sweatpants. She was smiling down at her phone. "Well?" I asked. Breaking the silence. "I really like him!" She said, finally looking at us. Me and Caitlin gave knowing looks. "Tell us more!" So for the rest of the night she explained her date. She almost fell off her horse so Aiden made her sit behind him on his horse and she had to put her arms around his waist like in the movies. Apparently the picnic was at a lake and fireflies were out which made it even more romantic. I saw a longing look on Caitlin's face. Ok so once Shannon and Aiden were official; operation Caitlin's gets a boyfriend starts. I told Shannon this when Caitlin fell asleep. She agreed of course. Caitlin's really not gonna know what hit her. *Insert evil laugh* mwahaha. Soon enough Shannon fell asleep and I was the only one awake. And it was only 11:47pm. Wasn't even that late. I got up and made my way upstairs. -did I mention the house had three floors. Not including the basement?- I will honestly not miss the size of this thing. I knocked on dads study door. I heard an enter. He sat behind his paper loaded desk. He gave me a tired smile. I sat down in the couch in his study. "You okay bunny?" I shrugged. "Just lost in thought a lot lately." He nodded and came and sat next to me. "I'm really happy you've changed. More so since you met Jenny. Whom I've still got to meet." I said in a teasing tone. I sat with my legs folded underneath me. "What's on your mind Chyna." He asked me after a few moments. "Steve." I felt him stiffen. "What about him?" He asked threw clenched teeth. "Well when Shannon was in hospital. Before everyone turned up; he gave me a letter. I've yet to open it. I don't know what's in there. It's sitting at the back of my closet. But I can't bring myself to bin it. It makes me wonder if that letter has the power to change everything." I don't know how but I needed up cuddle into the side of dad. Tucked under his arm which was holding me tight. Like he was holding out broken relationship back together. My head rested on his chest. "The worlds a very hard place. Life is the biggest and scariest roller coaster. But you control it. You have your own mind. Your mom was like this at your age." He smiled. His mind somewhere else. "She hated taking chances but took them anyway. She told me once," he looked down at me. "If you sit back and watch life go past your not really living it. Your just there. But if you go in and get your hands a little dirty. So many opportunities will open. That's what's life is really about. And I never understood what she meant until you ran away. I really did think I lost all chances. I just wanted you to hear me out. I didn't honestly think you'd forgive me. I thought you would just leave again and never come back. I took away 12 years away from us. I don't want anymore taken." I sat back. "12?" He chuckled and looked at the digital clock on the wall. "Happy birthday Chyna." I looked at the clock. 12:04am. 13th December 2014. I'm officially an adult. "You never did forget my birthday. Even in a grumpy drunken state. You always have me a card." I chuckled at his face when I mentioned drunken state. "Yes well if I ever touch another drink again it'll be too soon." I just laughed. "To new life." I said holding out my little finger. He smiled and wrapped his pinky around mine. "To a mending relationship." I nodded and kissed his cheek.

"Love you Chyna." He whispered.
"Love you too... Daddy..." I whispered back.

THATS IT. DADDYS FINISHED. well kinda still the prologue to go. But there will be NO SEQUAL. I am however going to be going back and do some serious editing. It really needs it.
But seriously. Thank you to all those who have stuck by and read Chynas story. I'm kinda proud of myself. There were times where I was just gonna end the book by Chynas near death. Lol glad I didn't. Please vote. Comment.
