POV: Drew Evans
"Gather all of the willing worriers in the pack, we are going to war and we are going today!" Gram Gram demanded, pacing the length of the living room we were all currently residing in. Since our current Luna turned evil, Gran Gran was now taking charge. She continued pacing while we called every single member of the pack over the age of fourteen willing to go to battle with us. Only a few members declined, most were pregnant women not wanting to risk the lives of their cubs.
"We shall meet them in The Elder's Forest at midnight tonight with the Moon Goddess Diana shines her light down upon us." Gran Gran told us. With it being the full moon we would all be at our peak for strength, our enemies included.
Everyone was quick to arrive at Gran Gran's house. We were jam packed with people ranging from fourteen to seventy. People were all talking at once, asking questions, catching up with friends, and just gossiping about nonsense. Once the front door was slammed shut by the force of my father's hand people shut up.
"Thank you all for joining us in our time of need." Gran Gran spoke, "Some of you may not be aware of this, but Luna Judyth murdered future Luna Phoebe," a collection of gasp was heard throughout the house. "I know, I know, but my grandson and future Alpha knows how to get Phoebe back." she said with a strong and steady voice, never wavering the slightest bit.
"Judyth has to willingly sacrifice herself for the vengeance of Phoebe." I told the pack of wolves standing before me. "I will convince her to do so. Her and her army will lose this battle and together, as a pack we must win!" I yelled with confidence oozing out of my voice, trying to encourage these people. They cheered and hollered at me, making me smile.
We filed out of the house and the wolves in their prime morphed into wolves. The fourteen, fifteen, and some older people stayed in human form along with the elderly. My father stayed in human form, we also needed foot soldiers to wield weapons.
The sun was sinking lower into the western horizon and I could feel the power of Diana slowly creeping closer toward us. Some of the dusty rose and purple sky was littered with faint colored stars, barely visible.
I could feel my strength rise with the moon as I breathed in and out slowly. I would get my mate back and we would finally be together, and I couldn't wait for that.
Cass and Quinn approached me with caution, walking together side by side. I nodded toward them and they nodded back. "How you doing?" Cass asked as he slapped a hand on my shoulder, to comfort me. I gave him a small smile.
"Just dandy," I told him and Quinn. "You all ready?" I asked them and they both nodded in response. "Good because I have a feeling this is going to get messy." They let out a little chuckle and walked off toward my father.
I morphed into my wolf form, used to the cracking of bones, and the painfulness of the whole process. I walked to my father, Gran Gran, Cass, and Quinn. Gran Gran despite being the oldest one here was already in her wolf form. She had been a warrior in her time and was still very skilled. Cass and Quinn had also both changed form. They were all standing around Judy's still unconscious body, my father was chatting aimlessly with other pack members while we waited for Diana to rise to her power.
The Elder's Forest was located about five miles north of Gran Gran's house. We made our way cautiously down the beaten path toward the forest. We walked with two layers of wolves first, then the ones on foot, and lastly another two layers of wolves. We had to keep Judy's body safe.
Once we reached the forest we walked another mile into a clearing where we were to battle. When we entered the clearing, almost immediately wolves and some on foot entered the clearing. At the center facing off against me was Alpha Daniel, Judy's mate, and other traitor.
Diana had reached her full potential and we charged into battle, me going in first.
