"Hey, baby!" Drew swung around and kissed the side my face. One hand on my hip the other on my swelled stomach. "And my other baby!" Drew kissed my belly and cupped it in his hands.
"How was your dad's?" I asked finishing up the last of the dishes from lunch.
"Good, and how was your lunch with Kat?" He questioned hope twinkling in his blue eyes.
"Good as usual, I'm glad we finally made up though," I told Drew as I moved to the living room to get more comfortable in my arm chair. I turned on reruns of The Vampire Diaries and cuddled against my husband. My head rested against Drew's shoulder as I intently watched the television.
"Honey?" Concern laced Drew's deep voice as the show continued.
"Yeah?" I asked my head still on his shoulder. Drew looked down at me, his blue eyes boring into my deep brown ones.
"I love you," he said kissing my forehead and turning back to the television, a small smile warming his face.
Late into the night, when Drew had fallen asleep on the couch, his head now resting on my shoulder, I began to feel pain in my abdomen.
"Drew, wake up! The baby is coming!" I shouted standing up and getting my overnight bag. I was grabbing the keys to my car when Drew finally registered what I had said.
"Babe are you alright?" Drew asked concern painting his face.
"Let's go," I told him opening the door. He nodded and closed the door behind him.
The drive to the hospital was painful, Drew drove as fast as he could. Pulling up the the ER of the local hospital he helped me out of the car. I waddled into the entrance with Drew on my arm.
I was ready to have my baby.
After an hour of labor I finally held my baby girl in my arms. "She's a good baby," the nurse said as my daughter latched on the first try. "What's her name?" She asked Drew, who never left my bedside, and me.
I gave our daughter to him and looked up toward him in question, telling him he was going to name her.
"Thea, her name is Thea,"
