November

I woke up in the middle of the night to drink some water. I noticed Teron wasn't beside me.

I looked around and found him sitting shirtless on the sofa near our bed, his laptop open on the table in front of him, quietly checking on something.

It was only 4:30 a.m.

"Hey," I asked sleepily. "When did you wake up? Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything's fine," he replied. "I was just checking on something. Don't worry about me. You go back to sleep."

I lay back down.

Sleep, however, was no longer on my mind, so I quietly watched him from the bed.

The entire room was dark, except for the soft glow from his laptop screen falling across his face. Even in that little bit of light, he looked incredibly handsome, the glow enhancing his features and making them stand out even more.

His hair was slightly messy from sleep, the same soft glow falling over it and giving it a subtle golden tint.

He seemed lost in whatever had caught his attention, a serious expression resting on his face, his eyes fixed on the screen as he carefully read through it.

After a moment, he turned to me and said, "Do you remember the hotel where you thought I only brought you for sex?"

I rolled my eyes. "Seriously?"

He gave a small laugh.

"The friend whose hotel I helped set up needed an investor, so he approached me. His hotel has been doing really well, so I invested in it. The deal's already signed. I was just going through the final paperwork."

A big smile spread across my face, my eyes lighting up. I felt impressed and a little proud of him.

"Mr. Businessman."

He chuckled.

"Congratulations on your new investment. I'm so, so happy for you. Truly."

"Thank you." He bowed his head with a warm smile.

I traced a finger lightly over my thigh as I spoke softly. "Since you seem to know... so much about investments... what are your thoughts on investing in me?"

"Oh, I'm all in." He winked.

He closed the lid of his laptop, set it aside, and climbed back into bed beside me.

He sat back against the headboard, his legs stretched out. He pulled me onto his lap, and I instinctively settled against him. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he rested his head on my shoulder.

"Mr. Hernandez... how did I get so lucky to have you?" I whispered in his ear.

He leaned back slightly and looked at me, surprise flashing across his face.
