This conversation had taken place two days earlier.

Feeling utterly helpless back then, I'd called her. Unknown to me, she'd recorded part of our conversation and sent it to him.

It was late. Teron had been working, and I had already fallen asleep.

He looked at me for a moment, then quietly plugged in his AirPods and pressed play.

Rishita: Hi.

Mansi: Hi...

Rishita: How's everything?

Mansi: Not good. I messed up. He barely talks to me anymore.

Rishita: Why? What happened?

Mansi:

My voice trembling.

There was so much going on in my head that I ended up accusing him of only wanting me for my body.

He didn't deserve that.

He's always been so good to me. He never rushed me. He never pressured me into anything. He always respected me. And what did I do? I doubted him.

And this fear that he'd leave after sleeping with me... that was never mine. It was planted in my head. By everyone. By you. And I let it happen.

My real insecurity was something else...
What if he never really liked me for who I am?

Have you looked at him? He's such a beautiful person... inside and out. It feels like God took His time creating him. There are so many beautiful, accomplished women out there who would gladly be with him.

So why would someone like him choose me when he could have anyone?

That was my fear.

And as for why I chose to move in with him... because his actions never gave me a reason not to.

He trusted me enough to share his home with me. That's not a small thing. You don't ask someone to move in just like that. Would you?

Would you share your home, your personal space, your everyday life with someone you don't have feelings for?

If all he wanted was to use me and leave, wouldn't it have been easier if we'd simply lived separately?

Even his past hasn't been easy. People have used him for his wealth. He could've easily assumed the worst about me too. But he never did.

He never made me feel like I had to prove my intentions. Not even once.

So how am I supposed to believe that he doesn't love me? That his intentions were never genuine?
