Time Goes On...But Life's at a Halt

The next few  months just passed on. Me and Soda went on a few dates, our relationship didn't have as much heat as it used to. I really miss Johnny and Dallas. I loved how Dally always knew how I felt and was always there when Soda couldn't be. Oh, and Johnny I loved to be around him, his smile always me smile and I especially loved to see him happy because it always made me and the gang happy even in our worst moods. I quickly snapped out of my day dream and the final dismissal bell rang. For some odd strange reason I was still able to keep up my good grades. I waited outside by the back entrance for Evie. Once Evie got there we walked over to the DX. She wanted to see Steve and I had to get to work. We arrived at the DX rather quickly. Evie disappeared into the garage with Steve, and I ran up to Soda, gave him a peck on the cheek and ran into the back room and put my DX shirt on. I walked back out and then the rush of people started to come. I stayed inside to run the cash register and Soda went outside to put gas into peoples cars. Soon a flood of girls went up to Soda and began to flirt with him. To my satisfaction he didn't pay much attention to their flirting, he only just sent them away or helped them with what they came here for, that didn't include a date with him. After a long four hours it was finally seven and that meant that me, Soda and Steve were able to go home. Me and Soda walked over to his house. When we walked in the door Darry was cooking, Pony had his nose in a book and Two Bit was sprawled across the floor watching Mickey Mouse with beer in one hand and chocolate cake in the other. Me and Soda plopped onto the couch. The two of us were so tired from working all week. But today was  Friday and that meant we had the night to hang out. I didn't have to go to work until three tomorrow and I had no school. Me and Soda were going to take Pony to the Nightly Double tonight. Pony was going to watch the movie while me and Soda sat a couple rows back and fooled around. (for those who have a dirty mind I don't mean that #yes.you.tash.and.lyss.and.kaity) Pony then looked up from his book and said "Soda you're going to have to take off of work tomorrow, because that's when the court hearing has been rescheduled to. Tammy if you want you can come." Soda looked at me with that "please come I need your support look" and I said "Sure Pony I wouldn't mind coming and I heard Cherry and my parents will be there too because Cherr is testifying that Bob and his gang were drunk and looking for trouble and that Johnny only killed him for self defense." "I know, tell her I said thank you.'' Pony said. He obviously has a thing for Cherry. I nodded in reply. Soda looked at me and said ''Will you sit next to me, for some support.'' he asked. "Sure" I said. to be honest I think I would need the support more than he does. To be honest I cry at anything that bothers me emotionally and I don't deal with being sad very well, most of the time I have a nervous breakdown and end up running from the fuzz. I only got caught once, thanks God. My dad just so happens to be the head of the fuzz. yep Chief Valence. So after a minute or two of silence Soda finally piped up and said "Tammy do you want me to drive you to your house so you can get ready for the movie?" "Yeah, that would be great." I said. as we walked out the door and hopped into Darry's truck. We drove over to my house. When we got there only my mom was home. She kindly greeted Soda and we told her about the Plan for tomorrows trial. Then we started to walk upstairs to my room when we heard voices coming from the guest bedroom. I opened the door to see none other than Johnny Cade and Dallas Winston. Me and Soda were so surprised. He just sat there I shock and I ran up to them and tackled them with a great big bear hug. Then it occurred to me that Johnny could walk again. We sat for about ten minutes and talked. Then I said that I had to go get ready and that they could come to the nightly double with us if they felt up to it. They agreed and I walked out of the room. I have noticed that Johnny seems a lot tougher and tuffer and a lot less scared. I quickly showered, got dressed and did my hair and makeup. Then I went back into the guest room and we all left to go get Pony and Two Bit as I my mom yelled goodbye to us. When we got back to the Curtis house we were all greeted by loud screaming. Then the rest of the gang rushed and gave the two hugs along with a million questions that they said they would answer at the movie. We all went to the Nightly Double as a gang, it was so nice to have the whole gang back together. After the movie we dropped Two Bit, Steve, Darry and Ponyboy off at the Curtis house, while me, Soda, Dally and Johnny went back to my house. Dally and Johnny went to go get some rest while me and Soda went into my room to hang out. Soda decided at about two in the morning that he would just stay over at my house. So he called Darry just to let him know. Then me and Soda fell asleep with his arm wrapped around me. I was so comfy like that, I could stay like that forever, buried in Soda's chest. I love him. I really hope he doesn't have to get sent to a boys home he will be eighteen soon enough. I wont let Soda and Pony get thrown in a boys home, I will have them "live with me". They can live here for a while than just stay with Darry the rest of the time. There we go it's all worked out, if they have to get sent away that's just what I will do. These are the kind of crazy chances that you would take for a person you love. In my opinion if you love someone you will do anything and go out of your way to keep them happy. I truly am in love with my best friend Sodapop Patrick Curtis...
