Can It Be,My Best Friend (Sodapop Curtis Love Story)

She's Back... Dun Dun Dunnnn...

Soda had a very worried look in his eyes and then spoke up and said "Why did she have to come back."

"Soda, she is just trying to fool you into getting back together so that she can hurt you again."

"You're right Tammy, plus I have you and that's all I ever need."

He kissed me on the cheek, and put his arm around my waist as we walked back out into the DX. Sandy looked at us and her jaw dropped. "Soda babe what are you doing.'' She had a very obvious worried look on her face.

"Well Sandy, is it a crime for me to kiss my own girlfriend" Soda said with a very annoyed tone in his voice. It was so obvious that he was mad at Sandy.

"Sodapop honey I came all the way here from Florida, don't you want to come visit with me."

"No" Soda said back bitterly. "I don't want to visit you or ever talk to you because of what you did to me, I have somebody way better now that you can never compare to, so why don't you just buy something or leave." He said this with even more bitterness and anger in his voice I couldn't believe that he told her off like that. To be honest I was very proud of him.

"Fine, I can do way better than you anyway, maybe I'll pay a visit to my child's father." Wow did Sandy really think she could get Soda back this way or even make him guilty or jealous. She was pretty stupid and rude I was really glad when I saw her walking towards the exit.

"GOOD YOU GO DO THAT!" I can't believe how angry she made Soda, nothing ever makes him this angry, not even Ponyboy and Darry fighting.

As Sandy was about to leave she whispered into my ear "Just remember Sodapop is mine and always will be, he will leave you in a heartbeat to be with me. He just didn't want to make you feel bad he will be mine very quickly. You just wait." I didn't fully believe her but I just felt kind of worried. The rest of our shift went by with just talking and laughing. So at seven Soda drove me home we had a date at eight. Even though I was happy and couldn't wait for my date with Soda. What Sandy said kept replaying through my mind. Maybe he did like Sandy better, maybe he would leave me for her in a heartbeat, maybe I wasn't good enough, and maybe he has been cheating on me all this time. I walked into my bathroom on the verge of tears and looked at my reflection in the mirror. I stood there for a long while just staring at myself. I cleaned up and got ready. As I was walking out of my room I felt sick and ran to my bathroom to throw up. I quickly brushed my teeth and ran downstairs to wait for Soda.
