This Is Just Too Much, I can't Take It Anymore

I woke up on Monday morning really tired. I got absolutely no sleep last night. I just can't stop thinking about how Soda's going to propose. I love Soda and all and we have known each other for so long but I am not sure I want to be married yet. I want to go to college and I can't go if I have a husband because I will be so far away from him and never see him. It's May now and I graduate high school next month. I tried to shake the thought of marriage out of my mind, but I just couldn't. I quickly got dressed and did my hair and makeup. I walked downstairs and walked out of the door and met Johnny on the porch. Sometimes I forget he and Dally live with me. We walked all the way to school having small talk and met Evie, Ponyboy and Two Bit by the front entrance. We started to talk until the bell rang and we all dispersed and went to our lockers. Out of the gang only Evie knew how I felt and that I knew about Soda's plan. The school day ended quickly and we all went to the DX to visit and because I had work. I went into the back room and put on my DX shirt and tied it up in the back so that it would fit. I walked out and sat behind the counter. Soda walked up to the counter and gave me a quick peck on the lips. I felt a little awkward around him. So the work day went the same as any other. I tried to act as normal as I could but it didn't seem to work because Soda noticed that something wasn't right. On the way home he asked me if anything was wrong and I quickly replied that I am fine and just a bit tired. "Okay" he said back, but I could tell he didn't believe me. That was when the marriage talk started. He asked me what I think it would be like to spend the rest of our lives together. I told him the honest truth. I said that I would love to spend the rest of my life with him. He smiled and said he felt the same way. When we got back to his house we hopped in Darry's truck and he drove me home. I gave him a quick kiss and told him I love him and got out of the truck. I ran up to my house and opened  the door and went inside. Just in time for dinner. I put down my bags and sat down at the dinner table. We had a normal dinner just as every other night. After dinner I went upstairs and did my homework. I took a shower and got ready for bed. At about eleven I herd rocks being thrown against my window, and I looked out to see Soda. I opened the window and he climbed up the side of my house and into my room. We layed down on my bed and talked for hours until we fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning with Soda still laying next to me. Aw shit he stayed the whole night, how am I supposed to sneak him out without anybody seeing him. But it was already to late. My dad barged into the room and screamed "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS HOOD DOING HERE, DID YOU SLEEP WITH HIM." "No he is a friend and we were taking and it got late so he stayed the night" I said calmly in reply to my fathers loud yelling. He made Soda leave and ten he started to yell at me some more. After a while I had finally had enough and told him to shut the hell up and get the eff outta my room and out of this house. As soon as those words came out of my mouth he slapped me across the face and my mother walked in. She told my father to get out of the house and that he cannot come back until he chooses to apologize and act like a normal human being. With that he left, no matter what he always listened to my mom or Cherry and would never harm them so if I had one of them around I was safe, plus my mom and Cherry always had my back since they knew my dad had this thing against me. I started to bawl my eyes out an flopped down on the bed. I just couldn't take it anymore there was too much going on in my life. My mom came over and tried to comfort me. She said I have to stay home from school ad work and get some rest. I didn't argue with that and just drifted to sleep.
