One day, when I get home, Mario is missing. I put my keys down on the dining table and look around for a note, if he bothered to leave one. He barely leaves the house these days, and the TV, so I usually have to remind, or um, yell at him to go mow the lawn and do his fair share of chores.
I go into the living room, and flop down onto the couch, nearly stepping in a red puddle, most likely some tomato juice or something. I'll need to clean that up later. I forgot how comfy a couch is since Mario has been hogging it for the past week or so. When I move the TV remote, I see a first person shooter on the TV standing on some desolate street. Weird, Mario wouldn't leave the game station on.
I got up to turn off our XBox, then I start watching some news.
"Today on Live At One News," The blonde lady with too much makeup says. "Five bodies found dead with bite marks on their bodies. The full story after this commercial break."
"Huh?" I look at the pictures on the screen before it goes to a diaper commercial. "Usually you don't leave the bodies for other people to find. What kind of idiot did this?"
After the commercial break, on the news they say the bodies were all tied in a way besides bite marks, they all knew someone named Ian Lovegate.
I nearly drop the coffee I'm holding in my hands.
"Great. Now I have two people to worry about, Ian and Mario." I say. Then, the doorbell rings. Must be the mail or some guy trying to sell me magazines. I get up, and walks towards the door. Looking out of the peephole, I see some person walking away and a note on the front steps. I open the door, and step outside, then pick up the note.
You'll never see Mario again. It says. I gasp, and look up. No, this can't be true.
"Okay, very funny Mario, come out." I groan. "It's not a very nice prank. Now come out."
But after a few minutes, it becomes clear Mario isn't here. The red stain on the floor of the living room wasn't tomato juice. I should've recognized the metallic smell almost immediently.
It was blood.
I walk inside, holding the note in my hands. I don't know what to do. I could call the police, but I don't think they'd believe that a vampire is out to get me, and usually they wait three days to investigate a missing adult.
I sit on the couch, and start sobbing bloody tears into my jeans, staining them red. Except instead of crying about Mario, I'm crying for him.
I hear the door open, and Kat steps inside.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Kat asks.
"Mario . . . he's missing." I say, in between breaths. "Ian got him."
"How do you know?" She asks, walking over.
"I got a note." I hand it to Kat. "And there's blood on the floor. It's Mario's. I know it's Ian. It has to be."
Kat looks at the note, then puts it down, and starts to rub my back.
"Don't worry, it'll be okay. I'm sure he's just grocery shopping or something . . . ." Kat shrugs.
"I can't believe this." I say. "Yeah . . . maybe he's just grocery shopping."
But I doubt it too much. I know he's gone, and he will be forever, if we don't give Ian something he wants.
Kat.
Suddenly, I hear glass shattering. I stand up, wiping the tears away from my eyes. Vampires. Vampires surrounding us, and they don't look very nice.
One of them walks up, and Kat look surprised. "M . . .Matt?"
"Yeah, it's me." He says.
"Kat, how do you know him?" I ask.
"He's my friend. I mean, he was." She sighs. "Are you working with my father?"
"Yes." He says. "And it honestly hasn't been easy, but he promised me that when we took over, I'd get a lot of money and a lot of power."
"You betrayed us!" Kat screams, trying to run at him to attack, but Matt picks her up, stopping her.
"I've been a vampire a lot longer than you, and even though you were changed by a very powerful vampire, you're only thirteen."
"Well, at least I'm not working with my father to kidnap a friend's adoptive dad." Kat says. Matt throws her away, into the wall, like some unnecessary toy.
"Well, we're not going to take Kat by force." Matt says. "But we are going to stay until she agrees to come with us. That means no more leaving the house, and that means no more blood."
"If you think I'm going to . . ." Kat screams, but Matt speeds over in his vampire speed and covers her mouth.
"Trust me, most people succumb after three days of no blood. But you should within one, since you're so new."
Kat slaps away his hand from her mouth. "Try me."
"Okay then." Matt smiles. "Anyways, we'll be in your house all day and all night. Try and escape, it won't be pretty."
"Fine." I say. "But you can't stay here forever."
"Yes, we can." He says. "Because nobody can stop us. If you think this story will have a happy ending and Taylor and Miriam and Daniel will come rescue you, you're wrong. This is real life, Cupquake and Kat, and in real life we get what we want, not you. There's going to be no Bilbo Baggins or Obama riding on a unicorn to save you."
Dang, I was hoping for Bilbo to rescue me despite how impossible that'd be.
A/N: Okay guys, so I'm thinking of having another youtuber come in and help Tiffany and Kat, so please vote in the comments section, because here are your choices:
A. LDShadowLady
B. Stacyplays
C. DanTDM
D. PopularMMOs and SuperGirlyGamer
E. SkyDoesMinecraft (I don't know a lot about him though, so be warned)
Anyways, please please please vote, because you get to determine some of the story and I thought it would be cool if someone turns out to be a werewolf or a fairy or something :3
