The Shadowhunters went home without another word of what had happened. But Artemis knew Scott would want to know what her family is she didn't now about Liam, but he was bound to ask as well. "Maryse, what if Scott or Liam ask? What should I tell them?" "Well... They saw you both use your weapons, correct?" Maryse ask and the children nod and Maryse continues, "I guess we'll have to tell them. I already explained it to Melissa, so she might tell Scott." Artemis nods and the rest of the car ride was silent.

--The next morning--

•Artemis' POV•

The night before was rough. I found out Scott McCall, is a werewolf. And not just any werewolf but an alpha. I saw a kid/wendigo, getting an axe in his back from a man with no mouth. I knew Beacon Hills was going to be strange but I didn't think it would be this strange.

Isabelle and I talked on the way to school, I wanted to talk about what happened last night to her but she wanted to talk about someone else. "Did you see the way he was looking at you?!" Isabelle was talking about Scott. She always loved talking about the guys she had dated in the past and even though I don't date or usually talk about boys but I still listen. "What way?" I ask her. "Oh my.." She says. "You know he likes you." "Isabelle, that's impossible, we just met, he can't." "But you like him as well." I just look out the window. Maybe I did like him. But we just met! I can't just start to like a guy that's nice to me, who isn't my brother! My life's a mess.

We pull up to the school and I see Scott. "Hey, Artemis look. It's your lover!" Alec yelled to me. "Isabelle did you tell them?!" I ask her. "Okay, I may have blabbed about it." She looks at me with a sorry look. But of course she would say something about it. Isabelle is my best friend, she's my sister. But one thing I hate about her is that if you tell her something about your love life she'll tell everyone. "Ugh, whatever. And Alec be quite! He could hear you!" "That's the point!" Alec told me. I rolled my eyes and walked away from them. "Wait Artemis!" I turn around to see Clary.

"What do you need, Clary?" I wasn't trying to be mean, I just wanted to get away from them. "Are you okay? I know you hate it when, Alec teases you." Clary was nice, she was caring. But sometimes... She could get annoying. I reply, "Yeah I'm fine." I walk away leaving Clary by herself. Scott was nowhere insight so I walk in the school and head to my locker.

After first period I start to feel nervous. "Artemis? Are you okay?" Isabelle asks me. I nod. I just don't want to run into Scott. But we have economic together.. "I'm just worried Scott will ask about last night.." Isabelle nods and tells me it'll be okay. We get to class and I see Scott in his seat. He smiles at me and waves. But I can see he was confused of what happened last night. I guess his mother didn't tell him. "Hey, Artemis!" "Hi." I say. "So..I was wondering if I could ask you something?" Was he asking about last night? "Go ahead." "What you saw last night.. Will you keep it to yourself? Also Jace. Please don't tell anyone. I promise I'll explain, if you explain." I nod. He turned around and turned back. "Meet me at the lacrosse field after school?" I nod. He did ask about last night but he also wants to know about us. Jace and I. He wants to talk about what we are. Crap.

[Third Person POV]

"I'm not sharing my basement." Malia says to the pack."Actually it's my basement," says Lydia Martin. "And my mom knows how you tore it up last time." "Alright, she's still learning." Says Stiles. Artemis heads to lacrosse field waiting for Scott. "Hey, Artemis! Sorry I'm kind of late." Scott tells the girl. "It's fine I wasn't waiting long." Scott smiles and says, "So about last night..." Artemis looks down. "I'll explain first." She nods and he tells her about how he was turned into a werewolf by the Alpha and how he met Allison. He also told her about Lydia, Kira, and Malia and how they met. He told her how Allison died as well. "You've been through a lot these past couple of years." Artemis felt bad for Scott. His first love had died in his arms. And that's hard to forget. "So I guess it's my turn." Artemis tells him everything as well.

"I'm-We are Shadowhunter's. Or Nephilim. We hunt demons." Artemis told him about her parents and how she's lived with the Lightwood's ever since. She even told him about the institution across the world, and Alicante and Idris. She told him about the Clave. The Silent Brothers. She showed him her stele and how her whip works. Scott was amazed. He was fascinated by her. By her culture. He thought her runes were beautiful. He thought she was beautiful. "You're not freaked, are you?" Artemis liked Scott. She didn't want to let Scott think she was a murder or a freak. "No, no! Of course not! I think it's cool actually. How you protect us." Artemis' heart fluttered at the comment. No body has ever told her something like that. "Well I'm glad you don't find us that way." She says with a smile. "Hey um I've got to go. You remember, Liam right?" Artemis nods. "Well he's turning into a werewolf and we made a plan to help him, and I got to get there." "Oh! It's okay, it's fine. We're actually hunting tonight so I better get going too." "D-do you need a ride home?" Scott asks while scratching the back of his neck. "Actually yes. I'm pretty sure my friends already left." "Okay I'll drop you off!"

Scott leads Artemis to a dirt bike. "I hope this is okay." Scott says. Artemis nods with a smile. "It's fine." Scott climbs on and hands Artemis the only helmet. "Thanks." Artemis climbs on and hesitates to hold on to Scott. Artemis tells Scott directions to the institution and when they get there Scott was amazed. "Wow. It's amazing, and huge!" Artemis gets off and takes of the helmet and giggles. "It's actually really old. Nobody has been here probably in twenty years." Scott smiles at how Artemis was talking about the institution. "Um.. Thanks." Scott smiles and looks down. "Well I'll see you tomorrow." Scott says. Artemis nods and goes to the gate and watches Scott drive off. All Artemis could think was, 'What am I going to do?'
