It's been very quite the rest of the week. (A/N: just pretend there was a week where it was quite lol.) No sign of any killing, which made everyone think..who's next. It was a Saturday and Scott, Artemis, Malia, Stiles, and Clary were waiting in lineat school waiting for the PSTA's to begin. Why weren't Jace, Alec, and Isabelle there? Because they went on a hunt with Maryse and she told Artemis and Clary to go the school to take the PSTA's. "I could be helping, but no! I'm here." Clary complained. "It's not that bad. It's not like the test is a demon. Okay maybe it is." Artemis replies.
"Hey, where's Lydia?" Kira asked the group of friends. "She took hers in freshman year." Stiles replied. "Does that mean I could've taken it some other time?" A very nervous, Malia asks. "Malia you studied harder for this than any of us." Scott said and everyone agreed. "Doesn't mean I'm going to do good." She says. "Well..." Stiles corrected her. "Well, what?" She asked clearly confused."it's do well, not good." Stiles told her. "Oh, god!" Malia complained. "We're doing this, because while we're not trying to die, we still need to live. I want to survive high school. Get into college. A good college!" Scott says. "It's only three hours. We can survive three hours!" Kira says.
"Don't worry I'm sure you all will do great!" Artemis reassured everyone. "Well what about you?" Stiles asked. "I'll just use a rune." She said. She had already drawn an intelligence rune on her forearm and rolled up her leather jacket to show them. "Cool." Scott said as he traced it. "I know." The line moved forward and they stamped their thumbs, received a test booklet and two number two pencils. Ms. Martin-Lydia's mother-walked in he class room holding envelopes with numbers on them. "Put your phones in here," she said holding out an envelope for each person with a phone. "You'll get them back after the test."
As Stiles began to open his booklet and the administrator started to speak, "Please do not open the test booklet until you are instructed to do so. There will be two twenty-five minute critical reading sections, two twenty-five minute math sections, and an essay writing portion that will last thirty minutes." He said. Artemis and clary looked at the administrator. Something was off about him. He turned to Ms. Martin and said, "There are supposed to be two teachers monitoring this exam." He said. I know, it's Coach! He's not exactly punctual. Let me just try him." Ms. Martin left the room and walked down to Coach's office, which was right down the hall. She knocked on the door. No answer. She walked in and saw Coach face down on the table. "Oh, Bobby!" She gasped picking his head up shaking her head in disappointment. "I thought you were better than this." She walked back to the class room and said, "I couldn't find him. But Mr. Yukimura is upstairs grading papers, I could try him." She said. The administrator sighed. "We have to start. We can ask for his assistance during the first break." He said. "You may now open your test booklets and begin."
Artemis and Clary were zooming through the test already on the first math section in an hour of starting. Man, does that rune help with tests, Clary thought. Everyone was concentrated until a girl in the back named, Sydney collapsed to the floor. "Sydney!" Screeched Ms. Martin. She helped Sydney up. "I'm okay. I just got a little dizzy." Sydney said. Ms. Marring glanced at the girls' arm, that had-what looked like-a skin infection and asked in concern, "Sydney? How long have you had this?" "I don't know." Sydney said while stuttering. "Ms. Martin? Do I need to stop the test?" Said the administrator. "No, it's fine." She said hesitantly as she helped Sydney back up in her chair. "Everyone stay in your seats I'll be back in a minute! Nobody leaves this room!" The students were confused. What was she doing?
Ms. Martin went back out in the hallway and starred dialing a number when kids started coming through the doors. "Get back! No, do not come in here! Get back outside!" Ms. Martin yelled. The students got up from their seats to see what was happening."Get back in your seats now please." The students looked at each other worried and went back to their seats. Scott was listening in on what Ms. Martin was doing. "Scott, what's happening?" Artemis asked. "She called the CDC." He answers.
The students watched as men and women in yellow body suit, come in through the school doors. "They think it's small-pox." Stiles said. "Not likely." The administrator said. "Small-pox was eradicated world wide in 1979, we've only managed to completely eradicate two viruses in history." "The other one was render-pest, it killed cows." Artemis finishes. "We should be comforted by that right?" Stiles asked the administrator. Unless it's something worse." He said in a cooling voice. "Whatever it is they're taking it pretty seriously." Malia said. "There's a lot of cars and trucks out there. You're dads out there too." "I should probably call him." Stiles went to the envelopes, and looked for his but the administrator, Mr. Simons, disrupted him. "Don't bother. They would have shut off all access to outside communication by now. No cell service, no wifi, no starting a panic. Looks like are going to wait here for a while." He told Stiles with no emotion, as he turned a page of the magazine he was reading. Stiles looked at him with a questioning glare and went back to the group. "There's just something strange about him. He's giving me bad vibes." Clary said and Artemis agreed.
Artemis, Clary, Malia, Stiles, and Kira headed to the locker room, Mr. Yukimura had told them Scott wasn't feeling to good and he was shifting. When they got there immediately went to him. "Scott?! Are you okay?" She asked with concern. "Yeah.." "It's happening." Said Mr. Yukimura. They all looked at Malia. She was sweating bullets and her claws would not vanish. "I can't make them go back." She said almost panicked. "Obviously the virus is affecting the two of you differently than humans." Artemis started to feel weak. "Do you think it would affect me?" Artemis said holding her head. "Possibly." Mr. Yukimura said looking at the now pale girl. "You guys have to stay out of sight. We have to quarantine, from the quarantine." Stiles said. "Yeah but where?" Clary asked. "And what if they get violent? Like in a full moon? And.. Artemis?" Everyone was worried that this would affect Artemis-and it is-and that she would shift. They were worried she was going to get even worse. "We shouldn't stay here, not in the locker room." Scott said as he and Clary wee holding Artemis up. "What about the basement?" Kira suggested. Stiles shook his head no, "Too many ways out." He looked at them with worried eyes. "We need something secure. Some place where no one can find us." Scott said. "The vault." Stiles said. "The Hale vault."
"The Hale's always have an escape route, like their house." Scott told us. "Their has to be another way in." They went to Coach's office and set out a map of the school. "This is where the school sign is, so the vault has to be right out here." Stiles said as he pointed at the map."I suppose is there is seconded entrance, it would be accessible from the basement." Mr. Yukimura suggested. Stiles was about to say something but at the same time Clary and Stiles felt faint, and looked very pale. "It's happening to you too. You guys are getting sick." Mr. Yukimura said looking at Stiles and Clary with worry. "You all are." He lifted up Stiles's arm and Clary looked at hers. They both had the same rash looking mark. "I don't feel sick." Kira said. "I think it's affecting you differently. " Her dad-Mr. Yukimura-said and showed her her test papers. "I found your test answers in a pile from the others." Her answers were filled in outside of the bubbles. "Oh, okay."
They soon ran, well walked, down to the basement to look for the entrance of the Hale vault. They looked on the walls but couldn't find anything. "Hey guys! Over here!" Stiles yelled. Scott and Clary moved the shelf covering the entrance. You could see a faint outline of a triskelion symbol. "Look, the cracks on the wall. It only opens with claws!" Clary said. "Anyone's claws, right?" Stiles asked. Scott slightly shook his head no. "Uh, Malia, can you try?" Scott asked. "Why me?" "I don't have control." Scott said holding his hands out. "Okay I'll do it." Malia said. "But first, tell me what you've been hiding from me." She said looking at Stiles. "I know you think you're trying to pretext me, but I can handle it." She said. The others looked around trying to avoid telling her. "I know I'm on the list." Malia said making everyone sigh. "Yes." Stiles said. "How much?" She asked. "How much what?" Stiles asked confused. "How much am I worth?" "Four million." Scott tells her. Malia looked to the ground. "Yeah, Artemis is worth 30 million, Scott's with 25, they'll take you guys way out before me." She said. "Okay then." Said Artemis. Malia took out her claws and began to turn the dial that was in the middle of the symbol. The stone wall slid open and they all walk in. "So.. What do we do now?" "I guess we wait and see." Scott said.
