"So how are you and, Scott?" Kira and Artemis haven't talked much, with everything that's been happening Artemis and the others don't have time to talk. "Oh, um.. We're good." Artemis answered the kitsune. Awkward silence fell between the two girls. "Kira?" Artemis said with sadden eyes. "Yeah." Kira looked up from the weapons. "D-do you think we'll make it out of this?" "I don't know.." Kira looked down. "Well I'm going to see what Scotts doing." Artemis told Kira who nodded. "They'll be okay." Said Scott who was talking to Derek. "They've got claws and fangs but they're not fighters." Derek told him as Artemis approached them. "That's why I called you." Scott told him. "We'll try to remember I don't have claws and fangs anymore." "That's why he called me." A dark skinned girl, named Braeden walked up to them. She had scars running down her neck, yet she was still very beautiful. "Am I the only one hoping this is just a false alarm?" Artemis asked hesitantly, but everyone just ignores the question.
"Have you heard anything from Stiles and Lydia yet?" Braeden asked. "Lydia is talking to Meredith," Scott started. "Stiles and Malia are at the lake house, they're trying to stop it." "What if there's no stoping it?" Brett asked making everyone turn to him. "What if it doesn't end until we're all dead?" "Then let's send a message. Let's make tonight perfectly clear to anyone with a copy of that list. It doesn't matter if they're professional assassins, hunters, or an amateur who just picked up a gun. Anyone who thinks they can hunt or kill us for money, is gonna be put on another list. Our list." Derek said making everyone look at him in agreement. "They get to be a name on our dead pool."

"Scott.." Artemis asked looking straight ahead. "Yeah?" She could feel his eyes burning into the side of her face. "If we don't make it-" "Artemis don't think that way." He told her. "Well, I just want you to know that I love you. And if we don't make it out, just know that I will always love you. You're the first guy I've ever loved. I just want you to know that." Artemis kissed his lips softly and stood up walking over to Isabelle. Scott remembered the night when his first love had died in his arms. She had said some the same things Artemis had just told him. At that moment Scott knew he would protect her from any harm.
Soon the alarms went off and gunshots were heard. Artemis knew that now was the time to start shifting. Everyone started fighting with the assassins. Artemis ran and jumped high in the air and shifted in front of one of the killers. Quickly she she snatched his arm and threw him against the wall knocking him out. She growled as many of the assassins surrounded her. Suddenly one of them shot Artemis in her front leg, she let out a small whimper as it stung in her leg but quickly wore off. They should've known that Amaroks could survive silver bullets. The girl jumped and crushed two of the men with the weight of her wolf body.
Soon Kira had come and helped Artemis kill off these assassins. The wolf bark at Kira in thanks. Artemis turned around to see Scott standing over a man almost killing him. Artemis ran and barked at Scott trying to get his attention. But Scott didn't listen. He kept clawing at the man until he heard a beep from his phone. He grabbed the phone from the man's pocket and looked at it and showed it to the man. It had said, The Benefactor: All contacts terminated. Scott then knew that Stiles and Malia had stopped it. He got of the man and looked at the big wolf which was his girlfriend. Artemis whimpered as Scott scratched behind her ears and said, "I'm okay, Artemis. I promise." He left a kiss on her big head and the two walked to the others. "Is it over?" Kira asked. Scott nodded, "Yeah."
"Scott?" Scott turned around to see Artemis in human form and fully dressed. "We made it!" Artemis said with happiness running up to hug him. "I know. It's all over." He rested his head on hers, and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Do you want to stay at the institute with me tonight?" She asked him. "Sure but I'll have to go home first, then call my mom." Artemis nodded. Scott touched her arm but soon pulled away. "Artemis your hurt." He turned her arm over and inspected it. The silver bullet could be taken out but maybe only with tweezers. "Oh, yeah." She said remembering how she got it. "Well it needs to come out, Artemis. You may be supernatural but soon it will hurt." "I will when I get to the institute, don't worry." Artemis kissed his cheek and caught up with the others.

"Hold on.. Almost got it." Isabelle said trying to get the bullet out of Artemis's arm with big tweezers. "Please just hurry this really hurts!" Even though she couldn't feel a thing when she was shifted, now she could feel everything. "Okay! Calm down and stop moving!" Isabelle barked at her parabatai. "I'm sorry it just really hurts!" "You'll heal." Artemis rolled her eyes and cringed once more. "Got it." Isabelle got up from the bed with a cloth and bullet in one hand and the tweezers in the other. "Thanks, Izzy." "You're welcome, Artemis." Awkward silence drowned the two girls. It used to be comfortable silence, but ever since Artemis found out she was supernatural it has been different.
"Artemis! Your boyfriend is here!" Jace yelled coming through the hall way. "Okay!" She yelled back. "Um I'm gonna go see Scott." Artemis looked down and left Isabelle's room. She ran down to see Scott looking around and when he saw her he immediately asked, "Is your arm okay?" Artemis laughed at him. "Yeah I'm fine." She showed him her arm and it was almost healed all the way. "Good." Scott sighed and enveloped her in a hug. "I love you. You know that right?" Scott asked her. "I know. I love you, too." He stayed in the hug for a little longer, thinking of how he could have lost her just as he lost Allison.
I like that last line of the chapter idk why..
Anyways, so I decided to update this chapter. I am SOOO sorry that I've been MIA on updating its just I've been busy with school and stressed. But I promise I will start writing more during May. I hope you guys forgive me:)
