It was the last day of Jimmy's hiatus, and he had planned for us to meet his parents. I was very nervous about what was said with Nancy a few days back at the duck pond. But the opportunity to ask never came up because I felt like if he wanted to talk about it, he would. He was aware I was here for him if he needed to talk.

Jimmy was driving and I kept looking over to him - something clearly on his mind and bothering him. As the silence was unbearable I decided to speak first. "So you gonna tell me what's wrong?" I asked still looking to him, his eyes not leaving the road once to look at me, something he always did when we were in the car together. "Its just Nancy stuff" he said finally, I sighed slightly "do you want to talk about it?" I asked. "Not really" he replied turning the radio up a notch. "I'm here if you wanna tal-" "I said I don't!" he snapped. I was taken aback by this. I stared out of the window and before I knew it we arrived at his parents house. "We're here" Jimmy said getting out of the car, I sighed, also stepping out of the car. I walked besides him when his parents were standing at their front door, could feel their eyes watching me closely. When we got closer I smiled to them and so did Jimmy, the first time he smiled today. "Mom!" he hugged her tightly, "Hi dad!" he shook his dad's hand then turned to me, "this is Y/N" he was hesitant to introduce me and for the first time during this relationship I questioned if we were actually breaking up.

After a small tour of their very nice house, Jimmy and I carried our bags to our room while dinner was cooking. I set mine down on the right side of the bed and Jimmy sat on the left side with his back turned. "Jimmy, what is going on?" I questioned. Jimmy still didn't look at me, which only made me a bit more annoyed. "Jimmy?" I tried to get his attention. "Would you just drop it already?" he said finally standing up and throwing his hands in the air. "This isn't fair!" I yelled crossing my arms. "I am supposed to be your girlfriend and you won't even talk to me!" my eyes were getting watery. "Are we breaking up?" I asked, I dreaded the answer. Jimmy looked to the floor then back at me, "no we're not" he said looking directly into my eyes. "Then why does it feel we are?" tears were now streaming down my face. Jimmy shrugged, "well we're not" he repeated. "C'mon. Lets go eat" he said leading the way out of the room.

At this point I wasn't sure what to think, does Jimmy even love me anymore? I didn't know. But right now the toughest task was impressing his parents.
