We pulled up outside of Higgins house in Jimmy's truck. "What do you think he'll say?" I asked as we both looked to the house. Jimmy turned to look at me, "I think he'll be good about it" he shot a small smile and we both got out of the truck and walked towards the front door

For some reason I always felt extremely nervous telling Higgins things, just like I was when we told him about the relationship. I first had to establish his reaction before I could ask him to walk me down the aisle since my biological father isn't around. I didn't even know if he was still alive, and if he was then its a possibility he would have another family of his own to worry about

Jimmy did a code for a knock, I shot him a puzzled look, he winked and smiled causing me chuckle and shrug. After a few moments Higgins appeared at the door, we both smiled wide as Higgins opened his arms for a hug. His hugs were always the most comforting, I remember spending a lot of time in them when my mom died. Jimmy gave us a smirk and I chuckled when they did a handshake. "Well do come in, children!" Higgins said in his Italian accent. When we walked in, Jimmy placed his lips against my ear, "you sure you're marrying the right person?" he whispered. I gasped and turned towards him, "Jimmy he is like my father, I do NOT like him in that way!" I folded my arms across my chest, "You're so close!" he said back immediately. I let you a deep sigh, "We have a close friendship, we have a father-daughter relationship, he was there for me when my mom passed away" I had tears forming in my eyes, "And I love him as a friend and as a father figure. I love YOU as my boyfriend, as my best friend and as the person you are" I smiled. I thought it was kinda cute Jimmy being a little jealous. But I meant every word I just said. "Sorry. I'm just afraid someone else is gonna steal you" Jimmy smiled shyly. I chuckled, "By Higgins?" I raised an eyebrow and smirked, "if anything it should be me being afraid!"

"Well don't be! I'm just a doughy comedian" he placed his hands in his pocket and looked to the ground, "Oh my gosh will you stop it?!" I said placing my hands on each side of his face to make him look at me, "You have an amazing body!" I began to blush bright. "Didn't you hear me the first time? I said I love you as the person you are! You could be XXXL for all I care and I still would have said yes!" I placed a kiss on his lips, then put my hands on his upper arms and gave a small squeeze, "You're not doughy! You're Jimmy Fallon and you're perfect! Just ask all your falpals out in the world!" I smiled.

Higgins came up behind us with a smile, "wondered where you kids got to!" he smirked. "Sorry" Jimmy and I said in unison.

"Higgs, we've got some news" Jimmy said sipping his coffee. I chuckled to myself remembering him telling me it always bummed him out hearing his co-workers letting a "aaah" out after every sip, quite an annoying habit I agreed.

"Well Y/N and I... We are getting married" he said excitedly. Higgins stayed silent a few more moments, now was probably a good opportunity to ask him.

"And Steve, you know my real dad isn't around and I don't have any grandparents left. I wanted to ask if you would be the one who would walk me down the aisle to Jimmy?" I was completely shaking at this point, that question had been on my mind ever since Jimmy proposed.

"Wow you guys!" Higgins began, "I am so happy for you both! A massive congratulations and YES! It would be a true honor to walk you down the aisle! Oh god. Come here!" Higgins held his arms out and I stood to give him a hug, I signaled Jimmy over to join, we ended up in a group hug.

Higgins walked us back to the front door, "Hey you know what we need to do now?" Higgins asked as we stepped outside the door frame. "What?" me and Jimmy said again in unison, I smiled. We must be able to read each others minds its amazing! "We need to throw a party on the top floor of Rockefeller and give your babe a tour of the place!" Higgins winked at Jimmy, "You're a genius Higgins! Lets arrange it for next weekend!" Jimmy said in an excitingly kid-like tone

After saying goodbye to Higgins, Jimmy placed his arm around my shoulder as we walked back to the truck, "Lets skip shopping, lets go get some ice cream!" Jimmy said. I nodded my head in agreement. Whatever I was doing with Jimmy was always fun, we could be sat in a concrete room with 4 bare walls and it would still be interesting!
